ホセア書２章

しかし、イスラエルの子孫達の数は測ることも数えることもできない海の砂のようになり、彼らに言われたことのかわりにこうなるでしょう。
「あなたがたは私の民ではない」と言われた代わりに、こう言われるでしょう。
「あなたがたは生ける神の子です。」と言われるようになります。
2 ユダの子孫達とイスラエルの子孫達とは集められ、おのおの一つの頭を定めて、その国から上って行くでしょう。
エズレルの日は大いなるものです。
3 あなたがたは兄弟達に、「私の民（アンミ）」と言い、あなたがたの姉妹達に、「愛される者（ルハマー）」と言いなさい！
4 あなたの母に言いなさい！言いなさい！
彼女は私の妻ではなく、私も彼女の夫ではないので、その顔から遊女の行いを、その胸の間から姦淫の行いを捨てさせなさい！
5 私が彼女を裸にして、その生まれた日のようにし、彼女を荒野のようにし、乾いた土地のようにし、渇きで彼女を殺すことのないように。
3 そうでなければ、私は、彼女の着物をはいで裸にし、生まれた日のようにして彼女をさらし、彼女を荒野のようにし、砂漠のようにし、渇きで彼女を死なせよう。
6 私はその子孫達を憐れまない。彼らは淫乱の子だからです。
7 彼らの母は淫婦を演じ、彼らを身ごもった者は恥ずべきことをしたからで、彼女は言いました。
「私はパンと水、羊毛と亜麻、油と酒とを与えてくれる恋人達を追いかける。」
8 それゆえ、見よ！私はいばらであなたの道を囲み、彼女に向かって壁を築き、彼女がその道を見いだすことができないようにしよう。
9 彼女はその恋人達を追いかけるが、追い越せず、捜しても捜し出せず、その時彼女は言いいます。
「私は行って、最初の夫のもとに帰ります。私には今よりもその時のほうがよかったのです。」
10 彼女がトウモロコシとぶどう酒と油を与え、銀と金を彼女に増やし、彼らがバアルのために用いたのは、わたしであることを知らなかったからです。
11 それゆえ、わたしはわが穀物をその時に、わたしのぶどう酒をその時に取り返し、わたしの羊毛と、その裸を覆うために与えられた私の亜麻を奪い去るでしょう。
12 今、私はその恋人の目の前に彼女の恥をさらし、誰も彼女を私の手から救い出すことができない。
13 私はまたその祭りと、新月と、安息日と、その定められた季節をことごとく絶やす。
11 私は彼女のすべてを喜び、祭り、新月の祭り、安息日、すべての例祭を、やめさせる。
14 私はそのぶどうの木と、いちじくの木とを枯らし、彼女が「これらは私の恋人達が私にくれたものだ。」と言ったものを、森とし、野の獣がこれを食べるようにする。
15 また、私はバアルの時代、すなわち彼女がバアルに捧げ、耳飾と宝石を身につけ、恋人を追って行きながら、私を忘れた時代を彼女の上に報復させます。｛訪れさせます｝
と主は言われます。
13 私は、彼女がバアルに香をたき、耳輪や飾りを身につけて、恋人達を慕って行き、私を忘れてバアルに仕えた日々に報いる。—主の御告げ—
16 それゆえ、見よ！私は彼女を誘い出し、荒野に連れて行き、彼女に優しく語りかける。
17 私はそこからそのぶどう畑を与え、また、アコルの谷を希望の門として与え、彼女はその若い日のように、またエジプトの国から上ってきた日のように、そこで応答するでしょう。
18 主は言われます。
その日、あなたは私を「私の夫」と呼び、もはや「私のバアル」とは呼ばないでしょう。
16 その日、—主の御告げ—あなたは私を『私の夫』と呼び、もう、私を『私のバアル』とは呼ぶまい。
19 私はバアルの名をその口から取り去り、もはやその名を口にすることがないでしょう。
20 その日、私は彼らのために、野の獣、天の鳥、地の這うものと契約を結び、弓と剣と戦いをこの地から絶ち、彼らを安らかに伏させるでしょう。
21 私はあなたをとこしえに私のもとに結びつけ、義と正義と愛と慈しみで、あなたを私のもとに結びつけよう。
22 私は誠実をもってあなたを私のもとに結び、あなたは主を知るようになります。
23 その日、私は応えよう。
主よ！私は天に応え、彼らは地に応えよう。

6 それゆえ、私は、いばらで彼女の道に垣を立て、彼女が通い路を見いださないように、石垣を立てよう。
7 彼女は恋人達のあとを追って行こう。しかし、彼らに追いつくことはない。彼らを捜し求めよう。しかし、見つけ出すことはない。彼女は言う。『私は行って、初めの夫に戻ろう。あの時は、今よりも私はしあわせだったから。』
8 彼女に穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油とを与えた者、かた、バアルのために使った銀と金とを多く与えた者が、私ですのを、彼女は知らなかった。
9 それゆえ、私は、その時になって、私の穀物を、その季節になって、私の新しいぶどう酒を取り戻し、また、彼女の裸をおおうための私の羊毛と麻とをはぎ取ろう。
10 今、私は彼女の恥を、恋人達の目の前にあばく。だれも彼女を私の手から救い出せる者はない。
11 私は彼女のすべてを喜び、祭り、新月の祭り、安息日、すべての例祭を、やめさせる。
12 それから、私は彼女が『これは私の恋人達が払ってくれた報酬』と言っていた彼女のぶどうの木と、いちじくの木とを荒れすたらせ、これを林にして、野の獣にこれを食べさせる。
13 私は、彼女がバアルに香をたき、耳輪や飾りを身につけて、恋人達を慕って行き、私を忘れてバアルに仕えた日々に報いる。—主の御告げ—
14 それゆえ、見よ、私は彼女をくどいて荒野に連れて行き、優しく彼女に語ろう。
15 私はその所を彼女のためにぶどう畑にし、アコルの谷を望みの門としよう。彼女が若かった日のように、彼女がエジプトの国から上って来たときのように、彼女はその所で答えよう。
16 その日、—主の御告げ—あなたは私を『私の夫』と呼び、もう、私を『私のバアル』とは呼ぶまい。
17 私はバアル達の名を彼女の口から取り除く。その名はもう覚えられることはない。
18 その日、私は彼らのために、野の獣、空の鳥、地をはうものと契約を結び、弓と剣と戦いを地から絶やし、彼らを安らかに休ませる。
19 私はあなたと永遠の契りを結ぶ。正義と公義と、恵みとあわれみをもって、契りを結ぶ。
20 私は真実をもってあなたと契りを結ぶ。このとき、あなたは主を知ろう。
21 その日、私は答える。—主の御告げ—私は天に答え、天は地に答える。
22 地は穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油に答え、それらはイズレエルに答える。
23 私は彼を私のために地にまき散らし、『愛されない者』を愛し、『私の民でない者』を、『あなたは私の民』と言う。彼は『あなたは私の神』と言おう。」

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them: 'Ye are not My people', it shall be said unto them: 'Ye are the children of the living God.'
2 And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
3 Say ye unto your brethren: 'Ammi'; and to your sisters, 'Ruhamah.'
4 Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not My wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her harlotries from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
5 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
6 And I will not have compassion upon her children; for they are children of harlotry.
7 For their mother hath played the harlot, she that conceived them hath done shamefully; for she said: 'I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.'
8 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will make a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths.
9 And she shall run after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them, and she shall seek them, but shall not find them; then shall she say: 'I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.'
10 For she did not know that it was I that gave her the corn, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied unto her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
11 Therefore will I take back My corn in the time thereof, and My wine in the season thereof, and will snatch away My wool and My flax given to cover her nakedness.
12 And now will I uncover her shame in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of My hand.
13 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feasts, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her appointed seasons.
14 And I will lay waste her vines and her fig-trees, whereof she hath said: 'These are my hire that my lovers have given me'; and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
15 And I will visit upon her the days of the Baalim, wherein she offered unto them, and decked herself with her ear-rings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot Me, saith the LORD. 
16 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly unto her.
17 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she shall respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
18 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call Me Ishi, and shalt call Me no more Baali.
19 For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name.
20 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground; and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely.
21 And I will betroth thee unto Me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in compassion.
22 And I will betroth thee unto Me in faithfulness; and thou shalt know the LORD. 
23 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will respond, saith the LORD, I will respond to the heavens, and they shall respond to the earth;
24 And the earth shall respond to the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall respond to Jezreel.
25 And I will sow her unto Me in the land; and I will have compassion upon her that had not obtained compassion; and I will say to them that were not My people: 'Thou art My people'; and they shall say: 'Thou art my God.'
