Dear come true

It was amazing day at Tagaman race in Saipan, I still cannot believe I won this race.

I moved to Saipan 2003 for work. I never heard about Triathlon. If I didn't move to Saipan, I might still don't know what is " triathlon"
Triathlon was very popular in Saipan and even today. I grew up with sports, Swimming, running, body board, skiing, etc,, BUT I never seen or tried Triathlon.

My first triathlon was Tinian island next saipan in 2004. Definitely I fell in love it!! I love it! That day changed all my life.
It was fun and very challenge for me specially I never road bike with gear. You are racing with you not someone.
Some race is all good and do what you planned, Some race you have to deal with happen you never thought or you didn't wish.
Of course I am hoping that today's race will be all good each race BUT it is more challenge if you have to deal with some accident you didn't thought. Those day, I am more happy to cross finish line and satisfied because I won myself to get to finish line.

Tagaman is the biggest triathlon in Saipan. There are many athlete from world! When I did first Tagaman in 2005 I had dream that I want to win this race in front of all my friends.
I got 3rd, 2nd but never won in past.

It was that day all went to through as I planned. I came out of water first female then I pushed hard on the bike to get lead as I am not good runner.
Actually I had good run! I thank to all of my friends on the course , finish line, family and my husband to keep believing me.

Jon Cramer who hire me 11 years ago in Japan to come Saipan was at finish line as MC. He is always my boss and good friend! He was calling my name when I crossed the finish, I just went to straight to him and all motion came for 10 years.
I felt I did it. All pressure for few years from myself was gone
Now I feel more relax and ready for another race Xterra Asia tour!!!
