横浜は気温がぐんぐん上がり一気に猛暑日。
蒸し暑いですねぇ。
今日の「みずき会スケッチ教室」は横浜山手です。
この付近はいわばスケッチのメッカでこれまで何回も描いているところ。
これは、えのき亭と２３４番館中庭をモチーフに
ちょっとお洒落に絵作りしてみたものです。
中庭のパラソルとテーブル、右手前のイーゼルはお隣のえのき亭から配置しました。
また、多くの不要な木々はバッサリ切り落としてしまいました。
掲載画をご覧になって、「２３４番館のガーデンの雰囲気、少し違うんじゃないの。
いつ模様替えしたのだろうか？」
と疑問を感じた方も多いかもしれません。
このように絵画において実際と違うモノを描く（ウソをつく）
ことにちょっとした罪悪感を持たれる方もおられるでしょう。
私も数年前まではそう思っていました。
しかし世の中の名画といわれる作品は、実際の現場に行ってみると描かれた風景と全く違っている
ことが多いそうです。
ウソはどの辺まで許されるものなのでしょうか。
私が水彩画を習い始めたころ、参加した講習会で画家の先生から教えられた言葉
を思い出しました。
「それによってその作品で狙っている雰囲気がアップし、より名画に近づくなら
大いにウソをつきなさい」
「絵は”写生”ではない。”造形”なのですから・・・」
夜の２２時を過ぎてもまだ蒸し暑くてなかなか寝付かれず、
駄文をつづってしまいました。
