On Saturday, February 11th, I went to Onoyama JA/NN-191/800m in Ueda City for SOTA activation. At first, I was planning to go to Togeyama NN-168 in the southern part of the prefecture, but I could not go because the snow on the previous day blocked the highway from Azumino to Iida.
高速の通行止めで、目的地をNN-184富士ノ塔に変更したが、こちらも雪が深くて登山口までたどり着けず、最終的にNN-191尾野山に変更した次第だ。
Due to highway closures, we changed our destination to NN-184 Fujinoto, but we were unable to reach the trailhead due to the deep snow, so we finally changed to NN-191 Onoyama.
↓尾野山も結構な雪で、何とかアクティベーションゾーンまでたどり着いた。
↑Onoyama also had a lot of snow, so I managed to reach the activation zone.
雪かきをして、駐車スペースと運用場所を確保する。

今日も28MHzからスタート。北米と台湾からコール。台湾はS2Sだ。
Start from 28MHz today. Call from North America and Taiwan. Taiwan is S2S.
24MHzへQSY。北米と共に関東各局からもコール。国内Esも出ている様だ。
QSY to 24MHz. Called from Kanto area as well as North America. It seems that Es is open.
21MHzでは、北米とニュージーからコール。
21MHz calls from North America and New Zealand.
18MHzではオーストラリアと韓国とQSO。韓国はS2Sだ。
QSO with Australia and South Korea on 18MHz. South Korea is S2S.
14MHzでは北米局とやはり国内局からコールが有った。
On 14MHz, there was a call from a North American station and also a JA station.
ここまでは、FT-857DM50Wでの運用。
Up to this point, operation with FT-857DM50W.
7MHzはKX2で10Wで送信。まずまずの国内コンディションだ。
7MHz transmitted at 10W on KX2. It is a fair domestic condition.

V/Uでは2-QSOのみだそうだ。

この日は気温が上がって、日差しも有り、かなり暖かい中での運用と成った。
On this day, the temperature rose and there was sunshine, so it was a fairly warm environment.
昼食後は、Xの7MHz/CWの練習でオンエア。
After lunch, XYL practices 7MHz/CW.
5局程QSOして練習終了。3週間ぶりのCWで少し苦戦していた様だ。
Finished after about 6 QSOs. She was struggling a bit on her first CW in three weeks.

今日は行き先に右往左往したが、最終的に天気も良く暖かくてSOTA日和となった。
I struggled to find a destination today, but in the end the weather was nice and warm, making it a perfect day for SOTA.
