On Saturday, February 25th, We went to Washigamine 1,798m JA/NN-089 in Nagawa town for SOTA activation.The weather looks better on Sunday, but it looks like the wind will get stronger, so I decided to go on Saturday.
↓今年はどこも雪が少ない。

駐車場についてもまだ曇ってて雪がちらついている。
The parking lot is still cloudy and snowy.
準備をして、雪がやむのを待つが一向に止まない。
I got ready and waited for the snow to stop, but it never stopped.
↓外気温は氷点下5度ほど
↑The outside temperature is about 5 degrees below zero.
諦めてダウンコートの上にカッパを着て8:45にスタート。1.5H遅れか？
I gave up and started at 8:45 wearing a rain wear over a down coat. Is it 1.5H late?
↓今年は湿原前の広場の左手、道路脇側から登った。
↑This year, I climbed from the left side, it is the side of the car road.
↓右側のルートに比べてあっという間に獣除けの柵の所についた。
↑I arrived at the fence to keep out animals earlier than the right route.
↓柵を超えて一つ目のピークを目指して登る。
↑Over the fence and aim for the first peak.
↓途中で石が積み上げてある。又ガスってきた。雪も相変わらず降ってる。
↑Stones are piled up on the way. We got gas again. It's still snowing.
↓一つ目のピークから右側の2つ目のピーク、左側の3つ目ピーク=鷲ヶ峰を見る。
↑From the first peak, see the second peak on the right and the third peak=Washigamine on the left .
ここまで雪は深くても3～40cm位だろうか。
The snow is about 3 to 40 cm even if it is deep.
比較的固く締まっているので、チェーンスパイクで問題なく歩ける。
It's tight enough that you can walk with chain spikes without any problems.
↓諏訪湖の方は晴れているようだ。
↑Lake Suwa seems to be sunny.
↓二つ目のピーク到着。三角の石には「御嶽神」と書かれている。
↑ Arrive at the second peak. "Ontake God" is written on the triangular stone.
↓2つ目のピークから見る鷲ヶ峰。天気は雲が取れたりガスったりの繰り返し。

↓山頂到着。今年は雪が少なく1時間10分で到着。小雪が相変わらず降ってる。
↑Arrive the summit. This year there was little snow so arrived in 1:10. Still snowing.
↓雪に濡れないように無線機を準備する。
↑Prepare the radio so that it will not get wet in the snow.
今年は雪が硬くて、場所確保が大変。登山道のすぐ脇に設置となった。
The snow is hard this year, and it's hard to secure a place.
遅くなったが一応28MHzからスタート。
Although it became late, I started CQ from 28MHz.
何とか台湾から呼ばれた。
Called from Taiwan.
24MHzに降りると、アラスカから呼ばれた。
QSY to 24MHz. Called from Alaska.
↓アンテナはこんな感じ。時々青空も覗く。

21MHzは1局のみ。18MHzは坊主。
21MHz is 1-QSO. 18MHz is 0-QSO.
14MHzは北米とフィリピンから呼ばれた。
At 14MHz, it was called from North America and the Philippines.
7MHzでは、国内各局とQSO。
On 7MHz, QSO with domestic stations.
↓今回も木に縛ったパイプに釣竿を刺す形で設置。
↑This time, I set up a pipe tied to a tree with a fishing rod stuck in it.
周りに木が少ないので、スムーズなバンドチェンジが出来た。
There weren't many trees around, so I was able to change bands quickly.
霧氷と、諏訪湖のコラボレーション。
↑A collaboration between hoarfrost on trees and Lake Suwa.
↓尾根筋の木の霧氷もなかなか綺麗だ。
↑The hoarfrost on the trees along the ridgeline is also quite beautiful.
↓一通り運用を終えた所でお昼ご飯。

↓食後にはアツアツのアンマンを頂く。
↑After lunch, have hot 「Amman」.
今日はスタートが遅かったので、XYLのCW練習は無し。
We had a late start today, so there was no CW practice for XYL.
↓と言う事でおなかもふくれた所で撤収して下山する。
↑When lunch is over, we withdraw and go down the mountain.
↓獣除けの柵の所まで下りてきた。網目の数から約積雪35cmかな。
↑Came down to the fence. From the grid of nets, the snow depth is 35cm.

今日は曇で時々晴れ間が覗くも、終始小雪がちらつき、天気は余り良くなかった。しかし、山頂で風が殆ど無く、暖かい中での運用ができた。釣竿刺しのパイプも重量200g増に値する働きをしてくれ、良い感じだった。また、登り始めが1時間以上遅れて、DXは諦めていたが、北米も2局出来てまずまずのアクティベーションとなった。
The weather wasn't very good today with cloudy skies and light snow all the time. However, there was almost no wind at the summit, and we were able to operate in warm conditions. A fishing rod sticking pipe also worked well. It added 200g of weight, but it was worth it. Also, the start was delayed about 1:30, so I had given up on DX, but I was able to do 2-QSO with North America. It was a reasonable activation.
