映画「さよならくちびる」

ウンザリするようなとてつもなく長い英文です。その後に更にウンザリする日本語の長文が続きます。

これを書き終わったら真夜中になっていた。英語を書きながらGoogle翻訳を利用して日本語を書く、日本語を書きながら翻訳で英語を書く、というのを適当に繰り返しながら両方の文を書いていく。

日本語は曖昧だから誤魔化しがきくけど、曖昧な書き方では英語に翻訳すると文章にならない。

そうやって日本語を手直ししたり、英語の表現を考えたり、これなかなか面白い作業です。

 When I finished writing this, it was midnight.  While writing English, write Japanese using Google Translate, and write English by Google while writing Japanese.

 Even if the Japanese is ambiguous, the meaning of the sentence is understood to some extent, but when it is translated into English , it is not a sentence.

 I consider how to revise Japanese or think about English expression.

This is an interesting task.

This movie is the story of a folk duo, Harleo (Haru = Mugi Kadowaki, Leo = Nana Komatsu) and their backing musician and road manager Shima (Ryo Narita), and It is a so-called road movie that traces band's dissolution concert in seven regional cities .

It's not a big movie, but it's probably the best Japanese movie I've seen in the past year or two, and I love it so much.

 Three songs are sung by Harleo in the movie.  The songs are provided by Motohiro Hata and Aimyon, and Mugi Kadowaki and Nana Komatsu sing and play the guitar by themselves instead of dubbing.  They have only three songs maybe because they didn't have time to master any more.

 But I feel that 3 songs are enough.

 All songs are good for representing Harleo's heart.

 "Everyone has reasons

   Living now with the reasons

 Even I have reasons

 Playing the guitar with the reasons

 I don't want you to understand all my reasons

 I just want to sing that I have the reasons “

 Yes, everyone has reasons.

 Haru, Leo, and Shima have their own reasons.

 I have reasons too. 

 Everyone is living with reasons.

 Reasons of Haru : She is a lesbian.  She find herself somewhat incompatible with the mundane and warm family in which she grew up.  She broke heart with a woman in her first love. She is still dragging it.  She loves Leo.  But she knows that Leo doesn't have that feeling.

 Reasons of Leo : She was raised in a family where her father's DV was also suspected, She awakens to music by Haru and finds out the kindness of a person inside Haru. She knows Haru's feelings, but she can't accept Haru's feelings because she's not a lesbian.  She is jealous of Haru’s musical talent.  Also, she loves Shima, but he loves Haru. So her heart gets irritated and always gets involved with a violent man.

 Reasons of Shima : He was a band member at the same time a member of a club which provide male companion to female .The women's problem that he raised causes the band to disband.  Realizing how important music is to him, he is attracted with musicality (especially Haru’s) and devotedly supports Harleo.  He loves Haru, but he knows Haru can't welcome men.

 So, this movie is a one-way triangle love story, an excellent music movie, and a road movie that, as I mentioned earlier, portrays travel and local cities.

 I've been involved in making independent films a long time ago, what is the most important thing in a movie?  I've always thought that it was a script.

 But I've heard that one renowned film producer said casting was the most important thing in the film.

 When I saw this movie, I remembered the words and I was completely understood.

 The biggest attraction of movies, which is different from novels and paintings, is that there is a real body of actors and actresses.

 　The three young actors Kadowaki, Komatsu, and Narita are awesome.

  Pain, irritation, anger, impatience, pity, love and hate, joy, hope... Chaotic emotions are transmitted through the three bodies in vividly.

 And the song, which the actors play and sing without making a dubbing, makes this movie lively and lively.

  Everyone has a reason.

  The reason is not something that can be solved or overcome, but it is something that you have to deal with while complaining, pouting and sitting up.

   Even so, Harleo suddenly stopped the band's dissolution as if they realized something more important than the reason, and got back into the car to live tomorrow. I like that positive last scene.

この映画は、フォークデュオ、ハルレオ（ハル＝門脇麦、レオ＝小松菜奈）と、そのバッキングミュージジャン兼ローディ、シマ（成田凌）の3人の物語であり、地方7都市を巡るデュオの解散コンサートを追った所謂ロードムービーである。大掛かりな映画ではないが、この1、2年ほどの間に僕が観た邦画の中では、一番好きかもしれない、それくらい僕はこの映画のことが気に入っている。

ハルレオによって映画の中で歌われるのは3曲。楽曲は秦基博とあいみょんが提供し、門脇麦と小松菜奈が吹き替えではなく、自分でギターを弾き、歌っている。3曲しかないのは、彼女たちには、それ以上の曲をマスターする時間が無かったからかもしれない。

でも、3曲で充分という気がする。

どの曲も、ハルレオの心を代弁する佳曲である。

『誰にだって訳があって　

　　　　　　　　今を生きて

私にだって訳があって

　　　　　ギターを弾いている

全部わかって

　　　欲しい訳じゃないけどさ

そういう事だって　

　　　　　　　　歌いたいだけ』

そうだ、誰にだって訳がある。

ハルも、レオも、シマにも訳がある。

僕にも、訳がある。皆、訳を背負って生きている。

ハルの訳。彼女はレズビィアンである。彼女が育った良い意味での平凡で暖かな家庭とはどこか相容れない自分を感じている。彼女は初恋の女性に失恋した。それを今も引き摺っている。彼女はレオを愛している。しかし、レオにはその気が無いことは分かっている。

レオの訳。父親からのDVをも推察される家庭で育った彼女は、ハルによって音楽に目覚め、人の暖かさを知る。ハルの気持ちを受入れようとするが、レズではない彼女には無理がある。ハルの音楽的才能に嫉妬し、そしてシマを好きなのにシマの心はハルに向いていることに苛つき、いつもどうしようもない暴力男と関わってしまう。

シマの訳。元ホストのバンドマン。自分が起こした女性問題でバンドを解散に追い込んでしまう。音楽が自分にとって如何に大切か気付いた彼は、音楽性（特にハルの）に惹かれハルレオを献身的にサポートする。ハルを愛するが、ハルは男性を迎えられないことを知っている。

という様に、この映画は一方通行のトライアングル・ラブ・ストーリーであり、優れた音楽ムービーであり、先に述べたように移動と地方都市を描くロード・ムービーである。

昔、自主映画制作に関わったていたことのある僕は、映画で1番大切なものは？脚本に決まっていると、ずっと思っていた。

しかし、ある高名な映画プロデューサーは、映画で1番大切なものはキャスティングだと語ったのを聞いたことがある。

この映画を観て、その言葉を思い出し、なるほどと納得した。

小説や絵画と異なる映画の最大の魅力は、そこに役者の生身の肉体があるということである。

　門脇、小松、成田の三人の若い役者が素晴らしい。

　疼き、苛立ち、怒り、焦燥、愛憎、喜び、希望、、、混沌とした感情が三人の肉体を通して切ないほど伝わってくる。

そして、吹替え無しで、役者自ら演奏して歌う唄が、この映画を瑞々しく躍動させる。

誰にだって訳がある。

その訳は、解決したり、乗り越えたりする類いのものではなく、時に愚痴を言ったり、拗ねたり、開き直ったりしながらも付き合っていかなくてはならないものだ。

そんな訳があっても、ハルレオは唐突に解散を止め、車に再び乗り込む。背負う訳よりも大切なものがあり、明日を生きていく。

僕は、そのラストが清々しくて好きだ。
