イザヤ書６６章

主はこう言われます。
「天はわたしの玉座、地はわたしの足台である。
また、わたしの安息所となるべき場所はどこにあるのか。
2 これらすべてのものは、わたしの手で造られた。」
また、主は言われます。
「しかし、わたしはこの人を見る。
3 牛を殺す者は人を殺したように、子羊を捧げる者は犬の首を折ったように、食事の供物を捧げる者は豚の血を捧げたように、乳香の供物をする者は偶像を祝福したように、彼らが自分の道を選び、その魂がその憎むべきものを喜ぶようにである。
4 わたしが呼んでも答えず、わたしが語っても聞かず、彼らはわたしの目に悪いことを行い、わたしが喜ばないことを選んだからだ。」
5 あなたがたは主の言葉に震える者、主の言葉を聞きなさい！
「あなたがたを憎み、わたしの名のためにあなたがたを追い出した兄弟達は言った。
『主をあがめよ、あなたがたの喜びを見よ！』
しかし、彼らは恥じ入るであろう。」
6 聞くがよい。都から騒ぐがよい。神殿から騒ぐがよい。主がその敵に報いを与えられるがよい。
7 彼女は悩む前に、産み、苦しむ前に、人の子を産んだ。
8 誰がこのようなことを聞いたであろうか。
誰がこのようなことを見たであろうか。
一つの国が一日のうちに生まれるか。
一国の民が一度に生まれるであろうか。
シオンは苦しみながら、すぐにその子を産んだ。
9 主は言われます。
「わたしは産めよ、産めよとしないのか。」
「わたしは産めよとしないのか。」
あなたの神は言われます。
10 あなたがた、エルサレムを愛する者は、エルサレムと共に喜び、そのために嘆く者は、エルサレムと共に喜びなさい！
11 あなたがたはその慰めの乳房を吸って満足し、その栄光の豊かさを喜んで深く飲むがよい。
12 主はこう言われます。
「見よ！わたしは平和を川のように彼女に注ぎ、国々の富を溢れる流れのようにし、あなたがたはその富を吸い取るであろう。
あなたがたは横に抱かれ、ひざの上に揺らされる。
13 母が慰める者のように、わたしもあなたがたを慰め、あなたがたはエルサレムで慰められるであろう。
14 あなたがたはこれを見る時、心は喜び、骨は若草のように栄え、主の御手はその僕に知られ、主はその敵に憤りをおかされる。」
15 見よ！主は火をもって来られ、その戦車はつむじ風のようになり、その怒りを怒りで表し、その叱責を火の炎でされる。
16 主は火によって争い、その剣によってすべての肉と戦い、主のために殺される者は多くなる。
17 身を清め、身を清めて園に行く者は、その中に一人隠れて、豚の肉、憎むべきもの、ねずみを食べているが、主は言われます。共に焼き滅ぼされるであろう。
18 「わたしは彼らの行いと、彼らの考えを知っている。
わたしがすべての国と国を集め、彼らが来て、わたしの栄光を見る時が来る。
19 わたしは彼らの間にしるしを行い、彼らのうちから逃れた者を諸国へ、弓を引くタルシシュ、プル、ルド、ツバル、ヤバン、遠く離れた島々、わが名声を聞かず、わたしの栄光を見たことのない所へ送り、彼らは諸国の間にわたしの栄光を宣べ伝えるであろう。
20 そして、彼らは主への供え物として、すべての国からあなたの兄弟たちを、馬に乗せ、戦車に乗せ、ろばに乗せ、速き獣に乗せて、わが聖なる山エルサレムに連れて来る。」
主は仰せられます。
「イスラエルの子孫達がその供え物を清い器に入れて主の宮に入れるように。
21 わたしはまたこの中から、祭司とレビびととを捕える。」
と主は言われます。
22 「わたしが造る新しい天と新しい地とが、わたしの前に残るように、あなたの子孫とあなたの名前とは残るであろう。
23 そして新月から新月へ、安息日から安息日へ、すべての人はわたしの前に来て礼拝するようになると、主は言われます。
24 彼らは進み出て、わたしに逆らった者の死骸を見、その虫は死なず、その火は消えず、彼らはすべての肉なる者の憎むべきものとなる。」

1 主はこう仰せられます。「天はわたしの王座、地はわたしの足台。わたしのために、あなたがたの建てる家は、いったいどこにあるのか。わたしのいこいの場は、いったいどこにあるのか。
2 これらすべては、わたしの手が造ったもの、これらすべてはわたしのものだ。―主の御告げ―わたしが目を留める者は、へりくだって心を砕かれ、わたしのことばにおののく者だ。
3 牛をほふる者は、人を打ち殺す者。羊をいけにえにする者は、犬をくびり殺す者。穀物の捧げ物を捧げる者は、豚の血を捧げる者。乳香を捧げる者は、偶像をほめたたえる者。実に彼らは自分かってな道を選び、その心は忌むべき物を喜ぶ。
4 わたしも、彼らを虐待することを選び、彼らに恐怖をもたらす。わたしが呼んでもだれも答えず、わたしが語りかけても聞かず、わたしの目の前に悪を行い、わたしの喜ばない事を彼らが選んだからだ。」
5 主のことばにおののく者たちよ。主のことばを聞け。「あなたがたを憎み、わたしの名のためにあなたがたを押しのける、あなたがたの同胞は言った。『主に栄光を現させよ。そうすれば、あなたがたの楽しみを見てやろう。』しかし、彼らは恥を見る。」
6 聞け。町からの騒ぎ、宮からの声、敵に報復しておられる主の御声を。
7 彼女は産みの苦しみをする前に産み、陣痛の起こる前に男の子を産み落とした。
8 だれが、このような事を聞き、だれが、これらの事を見たか。地は一日の陣痛で産み出されようか。国は一瞬にして生まれようか。ところがシオンは、陣痛を起こすと同時に子らを産んだのだ。
9 「わたしが産み出させるようにしながら、産ませないだろうか」と主は仰せられます。「わたしは産ませる者なのに、胎を閉ざすだろうか」とあなたの神は仰せられます。
10 エルサレムとともに喜べ。すべてこれを愛する者よ。これとともに楽しめ。すべてこれのために悲しむ者よ。これとともに喜び喜べ。
11 あなたは、彼女の慰めの乳房から乳を飲んで飽き足り、その豊かな乳房から吸って喜んだからだ。
12 主はこう仰せられます。「見よ。わたしは川のように繁栄を彼女に与え、あふれる流れのように国々の富を与える。あなたがたは乳を飲み、わきに抱かれ、ひざの上でかわいがられる。
13 母に慰められる者のように、わたしはあなたがたを慰め、エルサレムであなたがたは慰められる。
14 あなたがたはこれを見て、心喜び、あなたがたの骨は若草のように生き返る。主の御手は、そのしもべたちに知られ、その憤りは敵たちに向けられる。」
15 見よ。まことに、主は火の中を進んで来られる。その戦車はつむじ風のようだ。その怒りを激しく燃やし、火の炎をもって責めたてる。
16 実に、主は火をもってさばき、その剣ですべての肉なる者をさばく。主に刺し殺される者は多い。
17 おのが身を聖別し、身をきよめて、園に行き、その中にある一つのものに従って、豚の肉や、忌むべき物や、ねずみを食らう者たちはみな、絶ち滅ぼされる。―主の御告げ―
18 「わたしは、彼らのわざと、思い計りとを知っている。わたしは、すべての国々と種族とを集めに来る。彼らは来て、わたしの栄光を見る。
19 わたしは彼らの中にしるしを置き、彼らのうちののがれた者たちを諸国に遣わす。すなわち、タルシシュ、プル、弓を引く者ルデ、トバル、ヤワン、遠い島々に。これらはわたしのうわさを聞いたこともなく、わたしの栄光を見たこともない。彼らはわたしの栄光を諸国の民に告げ知らせよう。
20 彼らは、すべての国々から、あなたがたの同胞をみな、主への贈り物として、馬、車、かご、騾馬、らくだに乗せて、わたしの聖なる山、エルサレムに連れて来る」と主は仰せられます。「それはちょうど、イスラエル人が捧げ物をきよい器に入れて主の宮に携えて来るのと同じである。
21 わたしは彼らの中からある者を選んで祭司とし、レビ人とする」と主は仰せられます。
22 「わたしの造る新しい天と新しい地が、わたしの前にいつまでも続くように、―主の御告げ―あなたがたの子孫と、あなたがたの名もいつまでも続く。
23 毎月の新月の祭りに、毎週の安息日に、すべての人が、わたしの前に礼拝に来る」と主は仰せられます。
24 「彼らは出て行って、わたしにそむいた者たちのしかばねを見る。そのうじは死なず、その火も消えず、それはすべての人に、忌みきらわれる。」

Thus saith the LORD: The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool; where is the house that ye may build unto Me? And where is the place that may be My resting-place?
2 For all these things hath My hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith the LORD; but on this man will I look, even on him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word.
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he broke a dog's neck; he that offereth a meal-offering, as if he offered swine's blood; he that maketh a memorial-offering of frankincense, as if he blessed an idol; according as they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations;
4 Even so I will choose their mockings, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear, but they did that which was evil in Mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. 
5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at His word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for My name's sake, have said: 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may gaze upon your joy', but they shall be ashamed.
6 Hark! an uproar from the city, Hark! it cometh from the temple, Hark! the LORD rendereth recompense to His enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Is a land born in one day? Is a nation brought forth at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD; Shall I that cause to bring forth shut the womb? saith thy God. 
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her;
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breast of her consolations; that ye may drink deeply with delight of the abundance of her glory. 
12 For thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream, and ye shall suck thereof: Ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like young grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and He will have indignation against His enemies. 
15 For, behold, the LORD will come in fire, and His chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire will the LORD contend, and by His sword with all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the detestable thing, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18 For I [know] their works and their thoughts; [the time] cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see My glory.
19 And I will work a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the nations.
20 And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations for an offering unto the LORD, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 And of them also will I take for the priests and for the Levites, saith the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have rebelled against Me; for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

そして、一つの新月から次のへと、一つの安息日から次のへとなるたびに、すべての人々がわたしの前に礼拝させるために来る。」
―と主は言われます―
「　彼らは出かけて行って、わたしに対抗して反抗したその男たちの多くの死骸を見る。
彼らの虫は死なず、彼らの火は消されず、そして、彼らはすべての人々への一つの忌み嫌われる存在になる。」
