三浦はスイカの特産地です。スイカの販売が待ち遠しかった私ですが、シャル君も大好きです。実を残した皮付きのスイカは

馬の体にもいいようです。夏をのりきるためのいいおやつにもなります。

今日地元の野菜販売所で買って帰り、とてもおいしくいただきました。

トウモロコシと並んで夏の楽しみです。

Miura is a renowned watermelon-producing area. I had been eagerly anticipating the watermelon sales, and Sharu-kun loves them too. Watermelon rinds with some flesh left on them are also good for horses. They make a great snack to help them get through the summer.

Today, I bought some at the local vegetable market and enjoyed them very much. Along with corn, watermelons are one of the joys of summer.
