It is three months since my having come in Lake Nagomi last.

After a heavy rain of typhoon 4 with baiu front (stationary front) , the water has been disturbed. Fish in LAke Nagomi became nervous and they hesitate to use their mouth.
Therefore some traditional methods are not effective to fish.
However some methods are effective.

Deep Loosening method

Loosening method is called "indicator fishing" in English. I don't like this method in still water with short length cast.
Meanwhile using this method with long casting is one of ingenuity methods for fly fishing. It has real pleasure which is three essence of fly fishing that called "Casting", "Tying" and "Fishing".
Some senior double handle fly rod users are using this method and they fish effectively.

Floating line + Long leader with indicator + some heavy weight fly.
The length from indicator to fly might be 4m. Using fly may Egg type.

Bottom Scanning Method

This is unique method. Using sinking line and floating fly which is tied with kind of foaming material. In English, this is called "Booby trap".
However this is very effective method for nervous fish that lurk deep area.

Intermediate line+ Fast sink poly leader+ #1.0 Fluorocarbon tippet + BS Fly (Black)
Count down 50. Slow retrieve and feel a contact with finger.

Using this method is effective but it requires patience to wait for the time until sinking line arrives and lyes at the bottom of lake.

Long Leader Nymphing

This method is also unique. Using floating line and sinking fly. Some falling or dropping things attract the interest of the fish.
Most fly fisher should wait for the attack of fish for their flies, when dry flies are selected. Also, it should be waited, when a sinking flies are selected.
Similar method is using with spincasting fishing that use spoons or jigs (including vibration blade).

Count down 40 and more. Watch and wait for the small signal of line induced by a contact of fish

Regrettably, most sinking streamers, dry flies, wet flies and midge flies are not efficient, except super fast retrieve with non weight streamer.

Sometimes the surface of this lake can be seen the jumping small fish that are escaping from big fish that called "boil" in salt water.
So, spincasting fisher with crank-bait is pleasured with their effectively method in under such condition.
