Assignment代写:Different views of women in China and the West

下面为大家整理一篇优秀的assignment代写范文- Different views of women in China and the West,供大家参考学习,这篇论文讨论了中西方不同的女性观。

Ancient China has a long history of Matrilineal clan, one of the "mother" headed, "female" mainly. Nu WA, the legend of Xiwangmu all the ancient primitive matriarchal society in the goddess worship phenomenon. The Ancients "from Girls" for the surname, this custom has been followed to the Warring States, and the respect and worship of the mother has always been the traditional Chinese Confucian values, such as filial piety is the respect of the mother. The theory of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism has a great influence on the development of women in traditional China, but its cognition level is not completely unified. Confucianism requires women to sancongside, in the family husband can abandon his wife, the promotion of "women are not only is de", "tianzun, inferior to men" through these doctrines and the training, for women put on a heavy life shackles. Taoism believes that the relationship between people is like the "Yin and yang" of the world, which is constantly replaced rather than absolute opposition. Thus, Chinese thinkers have not found a consistent and persuasive theoretical source for themselves.

In the Western Bible, "God created the male Adam, and the woman Eve was just the rib of Adam." When a woman commits the sin of eating the fruit of wisdom, I will increase the pain of your pregnancy. You will love your husband, your husband will govern you, Aristotle also thought that "men are born rich, women are born low", Rousseau said, "No woman, man still exist, no man, woman existence is a problem", the German philosopher Schopenhauer even said " A woman in nature means obedience, and every woman in a completely independent, unnatural position is directly attached to a man to accept his domination and domination. It can be seen that Western religion has a great influence on women, from God to philosophers to belittle contempt for women.

China stresses "yin and yang harmony", women can create their own space in the traditional concept. In China, women's efforts to liberate themselves are supported by some men, Chen Duxiu, Hu Shi, Lu Xun and other "May Fourth" movement pioneers to put forward and protect women's rights, Mao Zedong is put forward "men and women each top half the sky", in the law, men and women are fully equal, and because of this, China has not been a frequent upsurge of women's rights movement.

In the West, women are excluded from the patriarchal society, is a silent group, in the atmosphere of repression, Western women eventually broke out. The Declaration of Women's Rights was published, mature feminist literary theory such as Bo-Fu's "Second Sex", feminism, such as the elimination of Walter, feminist thinking sharp, aggressive action, has emerged in the free feminism, radical feminism, Marxist feminism, ecological feminism and other social trends of great influence.

Now China's awakening in this regard through the media such as television and other women's status to recognize, and the spread of a wide range of influence is beyond the reach of books. For example, some time ago hit the "Battle of marriage", the male outside the female master thought has been completely overturned, art from life, Zhaobaogang Director's inspiration is not suddenly, this is the life inside. Just because there is such a mass basis, it will cause so many resonance, which from the side also shows that Chinese women desire equality and long ago in practice to achieve the status quo of equality, down to the civilian government, Chinese women in the struggle for equality has achieved brilliant results. The introduction of the family planning policy, but also to let women have a deeper recognition of the masses; The difference between men and women today also makes people want to focus on a small group of women.

Throughout the history of Western entertainment, with the United States as the symbol of Hollywood is the leading industry, the annual output of large quantities of film are overwhelmed. Popular films such as Zorro and Tom Cruise's spy War series, all filled with male charm, men all show their lofty status, they became the only person to save the world, women just as the most insignificant green leaves, and even men on the way forward stumbling block, This inequity or even discrimination has long been the majority of the crowd. To get ahead in Hollywood, male identity is a good ticket. It has a profound historical origins even in the continuation of the tradition, it is no wonder that the western feminist movement in this vigorous development, its vigorous development behind also shows that the western capitalist system of democracy under the more Dahua, the early awakening of women in the struggle for rights on the road to achieve more and more achievements. Western women are different from Chinese women's forbearance, they are more daring to express themselves and more adept at highlighting themselves, their own situation is more fierce rebound than Chinese women, on the one hand, because of the east and west of women's original attitude, on the one hand from the female's own attitude. Women in two different systems have many different ways of gaining power.

It can be foreseen that in the near future, women will become a gender equality, and will be recognized by men and society as a whole; it can also be imagined that the Western women will be able to achieve greater Chinese women can not reach the strength of the western feminist movement will also be to a greater extent to stimulate the awakening of Chinese women. But we should also be conscious of the different nature of the East-West society, do not blindly agree with the pursuit of Chinese characteristics of the feminist road is the Chinese people, both men and women should be aware of the problem.

China under the socialist system, since the beginning of traditional Confucianism to speak of "harmony", even if the struggle to find a balance, and the capitalist system in the West, stress more is the ego personality, make radical behavior inevitable. Men and women are different, but they are the same in the pursuit of self happiness and self-worth. As Kristeva, there is no emphasis on absolute male-female antagonism, but on diversity. More attention to individual uniqueness, against the collective and common to individual and personality repression. A more tolerant, more open, let this more and more inclusive society, let women find their own position!

Report

The Great Depression

本篇paper代写- The Great Depression讨论了大萧条。

Introduction

In the 1930s, the United States was being swept by the great depression, which was a huge impact to the United States compared with the other countries that suffered from it simultaneously (Peter Temin). Since the middle of the nineteen century, the liberal economic thought has been developing continuously and the economy of the United States was in a false prosperity. The economy of the United States developed rapidly into unprecedented prosperity in the 1930s, placing a decisive role in the world (Alford B.W.)

Behind the prosperity of the economy, latent crisis were found in the growth of the economy in the United States. The great impact of the great depression could not be ignored and the impact of the great depression was far more profound than any recession in history.

The phenomenon of the great depression is a valuable research issue. The research paper will analyze the reason why the great depression would happen in the United States concerning the economic environment and illustrate the impact and phenomenon of the great depression both economically and politically.

The Causes of the Great Depression

The United States seems to be really in prosperity in the summer of 1929-- the overall stock market rapidly rose and all the people seemed to gain benefits and earn money from it(Studs Terkel, 2001). It boosted the economy of the United States and the money gained from the stock market was being consumed in the American economy. There were, however, potential problems hidden in the prosperity, impeding the future economic growth under such environment.

First and foremost, the unequal income between the rich and poor was a serious problem. The consumption capacity of individuals has not risen significantly, because the average wage of workers in the 10 years since 1920s has remained unchanged (Cristina D. Romer, 1993). Only 10% of people in the United States invested in the stock market, leading to a widening gap between the rich and the poor. Data has been shown that about people who own the highest earnings than others amounted for approximately five percent at the period of depression, and their income occupied a third of the personal income among the society (Galbraith& John Kenneth 2009). An economy with a large gap between the rich and the poor largely depend on two aspects. On the one hand, the only way for the rich to get more money is to invest in existing companies, new industries, etc. One the other hand, there was no need for the rich to buy extra ordinary commodities instead of the luxury products that met their needs (Galbraith, John Kenneth, 1954). High levels of investment as well as the commodities with high prices that being bought could stimulate the economy, while difficult it may be for those who could not easily reach this goal, because it was prohibitively costly for some individuals. Such controversy indicates that it was too difficult to depend on the rich to boost the economy. Unreasonable investment without satisfying the need of the consumption capacity does not make sense, which also led to the reality that the actual economic growth in the United States is slow.

Furthermore, Galbraith and John Kenneth have pointed out in their articles that productions were exceeding the consumption demand during this period. The widening gap between the rich and the poor in the capitalist society will inevitably lead to the contradiction between social production and consumption, which was not conducive to the healthy development of social economy. Production and consumption of the society must be balanced, and in this way can the social economy run smoothly. National income expenditure could be divided into two respects. One is used to invest in production and the other is for consumption. In the industrial society, the consumption of industrial products accounts for a large proportion of the total social consumption, but the number of consumption volume for each people was limited. The government was likely to made some wrong decisions or predictions towards the need of the market and individuals. In 1929, the over-confident of government caused the so-called inventory recession (Cristina D. Romer, 1993).

Besides, economic growth was too dependent on the stock market. Compared to the investment in technological innovation, many companies were more willing to put money into the lending market, so the capitals would flow into the stock market at the end. Money faded away from the real economy, flowing into the stock market, which laid the basis for future American corporate failures and the great depression (Galbraith, John Kenneth, 1954). Most of the consumptions were from the profits of the stock market, and most of the investments were gathered in the stock market. Once the stock market crashes under such condition, the recession is unavoidable.

What is more, the structures of many banks and companies were unreasonable. In the discussion of the events that occurred during the depression, we are inclined to put a series of bank failures in a very important position. Relevant data shows that approximately 9755 banks went bankrupt due to financial difficulties in just 4 years, accounting for 1/3 of the number of banks in America (Scott B. Sumner, 2015). Coupled with the active liquidation, mergers and acquisitions, the number of commercial banks has been reduced by over a third. The first banking crisis since the end of 1930 was marked by a wave of bank failures probably due to poor lending and investment. The banking system tried to satisfy the demand of depositors as a whole only through the multiplier contraction effect of the deposit. In this case, regardless of the quality of assets held by banks, a bank run, which is a phenomenon that many customers of bank withdraw their cashes from the bank due to the financial crisis or relevant influences about the panic simultaneously, caused by any reasons to a certain extent was not unreasonable(Studs Terkel, 2001). Banks had to resort to certain measures such as selling assets in the market, which will inevitably lead to the decline in the market value of these assets as well as the devaluation of other assets held by banks. It was the decline of the value of the assets held by banks that has become the most important cause of capital damage, especially the decline in the market value of the bond portfolio, rather than the default of a particular loan or bond, which led to the occurrence of the bank failure. The banks were so vulnerable that they could not able to confront with the depression and it would be likely to bring a family to ruin when bank failure occurs (T.H. Watkins, 1998). The new structures adopted by the companies such as the holding companies or the investment trusts, showing that external reasons like bankruptcy or default on the bonds would have great impact on such companies, which makes it very risky to survive.

Last but not least, laissez-faire doctrine and relevant economic policies adopted by the United States for a long time were one of the integral parts that contributed to the great depression (Scott B. Sumner, 2015). Laissez-faire policy is the traditional economic thought of capitalism since the industrial revolution, having a profound influence on the development of capitalism. Those who hold the belief of Laissez-faire policy tend to perceive that the market mechanism is an "invisible hand", which automatically regulates economic activities, thus inefficiency and waste would occur under the government interferences. Before the economic crisis, the U.S. government has regarded laissez-faire policy as the mainstream ideology of economic development to adjust economic activities, and take relevant economic policies. For instance, the government strictly controlled currency issuing amount, adhered to the principle of maintaining a basic fiscal balance between revenue and expenditures (Scott B. Sumner, 2015). Faced with the crisis of failing and broke, banks and companies were void of practical measures from the government and so does the people who were unemployed (T.H. Watkins, 1998). This kind of liberalism economic thought contributed to the crisis of economy step by step, triggering the great depression to certain extent. In the face of the economic crisis, the president of the United States Hoover still adhered to the traditional laissez-faire doctrine, opposing government intervention.

The impact of the great depression

Many countries in the world such as the United States, German, Japan, Chile suffered from the great depression almost simultaneously in 1930s, which generated huge impacts on their lives especially in the field of economy revealed by the index of industrial production every year and the distribution rate change (Cristina D. Romer 1993). These crises are a clear manifestation of signal of a international phenomenon, but it could be more convincing if it was said to be a national phenomenon for the United States, for the phenomenon and situation was very unique and more extreme in the United States compared with the history before. When discussing about the great depression, vast multitudes of individuals would like to shift the concentration from the world economy to the downturn of the United States’ economy, therefore the great depression resembles an American phenomenon.

In the first place, the New York Stock Exchange crashed in October 24, 1929 (Alford B.W.E. 1996), which known as Black Tuesday in the history, falling into disarray. It was the biggest stock market collapse of all time given by the extent as well as duration. Stock index fell to 40.56 from to the highest point of 363 in July, 1932, which declined more than 90%, the most in the history (Murray N. Rothbard, 2000). The impacts on the stock market and the economic situation were dramatic. The most frightening thing is that the collapse of the trigger and the terrible economic policy led to ten years of the great depression. The United States was in unprecedented prosperity after experiencing the First World War. People in the United States, however, did not perceive the potential crisis of the collapse of the stock in their lives. As a matter of fact, there were controversies existing in the society, such as income inequality, improper ownership structure, unreasonable bank structure, deteriorating balance of payment. The crash of the New York Stock Exchange was not only the symbol of the start of the great depression, but a spark that see off the depression. Stock prices fell sharply, exerting great influences on the whole world. The decreasing of the price went beyond people’s mind, and they wishes to reverse the trend, but the truth is that the disaster lasted for a long time.

Furthermore, the great depression in the United States brought about the financial crisis in 1931. The crisis lasted nearly five years, during which industrial production of the capitalist countries declined sharply, a large number of enterprises went bankrupt. And the number of unemployed rate surged, which was as high as more than 30% (Peter Temin 1993). As a matter of fact, it was the worst financial crisis in the history all over the world. The deficit that the government and numerous banks have suffered from has put huge pressure on the gold standard, which also spread to other countries, turning into an international panic (Peter Temin 1993). Many banks went bankrupt and individuals lost all properties. The commodity market was shrinking rapidly, intensifying the tariff war as well as the trade war. For instance, the United States increased the average rate of taxable imports to 53.2% in 1930, during which the volume of the world trade dropped surprisingly for the first time along with the other measurement taken by other countries all over the world so as to resolve the recession (Murray N. Rothbard, 2000).

Last but not least, according to the paper written by Alford,B.W.E, economic drawbacks stimulated political problems. The great depression has profoundly changed the politics of the United States. When the crisis went on to the fourth years, the Republican government was still unable to come up with appropriate and practical ways to reverse the situation. Although the government promised to stave off the economic disaster, most measures showed their careless and dishonest managements, adding sense of instabilities to American people. Unemployment and the declining trade still existed for a long time and the whole country was disruptive (T.H. Watkins, 1998). The economic policy of the government in this period has been denounced on many sides. In this way, Republicans lost a majority since 1860. Since Franklin D.Roosevelt won the 1932 election with an overwhelming majority, the Democratic Party began to control the White House for nearly 40 years from 1933 to 1968 (Scott B. Sumner, 2015). It was not until President Roosevelt came to power that he changed his previous government's improper ways, and he truly played a significant role in regulating economic operation. In his inaugural address, Franklin D.Roosevelt said to all the people that the only thing they had to fear was fear itself rather than the depression, so as to reassure the public and seek support of the people (Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1933). In order to end the serious situation as soon as possible, he carried out a series of policies, known as New Deal, focusing on the nucleus of relief, recovery and reform. He announced to implement expansionary fiscal policy and increased government spending as well as public utility expenditure. Although some people thought that his expansionary fiscal policy was not enough to save the United States, there was no denying that the policy took by Roosevelt drove demand, reduced unemployment rate and alleviated crisis (Scott B. Sumner, 2015). New Deal contributed to strengthened government interferences for the economy, adjusting relation of production under the premise of maintaining the capitalist system of the United States and expanding the influence of federal government on the national economy.

European countries generally implemented social democracy and planned economy after World War II and the relationship between the United States and the Europe has change (Murray N. Rothbard, 2000). Many Americans began to hold a belief due to the great depression that a completely free market without government intervention would not guarantee a stable situation and healthy economic growth (Studs Terkel, 2001). Many of the individuals who participated in the policy-making of new deal argued that the experience of the US government's intervention in the economy could be applied to the post-war reconstruction of the economy of Europe. At the same time, the economic crisis of 1929 has also proved that the tariff and trade protectionism were harmful to the economy, which has strengthened the demand for economic integration of Europe and free trade. The Marshall Plan occurred under such demand and situation, aiming to help America's European allies recover from the devastation of the Second World War and to restrain the further expansion of the Communist forces in Europe. The trade relationship between the United States and Western Europe created by the Marshall plan consolidated and promoted the North Atlantic alliance and continued until the end of the Cold War.

Conclusion

The great depression was a severe economic crisis originated from the United States, engulfing the entire capitalist world and affecting many countries. which was more likely to be regarded as an American phenomenon to some extent. Unequal distribution between the rich and the poor is one of the causes to be blame, which generated the contradiction between production and consumption. There were no denying facts that the blind investment during the great depression was as vulnerable as the resistance of pressure of the bank structure. During the great depression, numerous problems have been witnessed such as financial crisis, stock market crash as well as the political issues. The laissez-faire doctrine and relevant economic policies adopted by the United States and the revolution of the New Deal also could inspire the economic adjustment for the nation at this moment.

essay代写-Impressions on studying abroad

I was born into a literary family and both my grandparents had high level of culture. The fact is that there were few people that had high level of culture among the peers of my grandparents because of the poor background at that time. So you can have a fair knowledge that my father is well educated and they are all strict with me in various aspects. And it is just due to their high requirements toward me that let them make the decision to send me to study abroad for personal improvement and that is why I am here. Though they have never been to America till now, they have paid attention to the development of America and the relationship between America and China a lot, contributing to their knowing quite much about it. From this, I dare say that the owning of my family members with high level of culture is an unearned advantage for me because I was born to own it and there has nothing to do with my personal efforts.

Being an international student from China, I can easily detect some cultural differences between China and the U.S. upon my arrival in the U.S. The biggest difference is that the education mode in the U.S. and China really varies much from one another. Detailed speaking, American education has laid much emphasis on the cultivation of students’ creative thinking and students’ solving problems on their own. But what is different in China is that Chinese educators focus more on cramming students with knowledge that they hold students need to learn while paying no attention as for whether students have interest for it or not. At the same time, Chinese people take too seriously toward the scores of examination while American people paid more attention towards students’ practice ability training. And that is why I can always perform well in the exams, which is really the outcome of my dominant social identity in China. Another difference is that American education attaches more importance to students’ researching ability than China.

Apart from their being strict in my study situations, they have also set up health plans for me since I was little. Detailed speaking, I have to take part in all kinds of clubs to exercise myself so that I can strike a proper balance between study and rest. They always tell me that a healthy body is the prerequisite for everything in the world and it is from them that I know what the old saying “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” really means. As a result, I am quite healthy now and I still continue to do sports in my spare time. Even though I am a girl, I do not get a cold quite easily and I can run as fast as a boy. As far as I am concerned, it is out of my family members’ insisting on my exercising all the time that has enabled me to become so healthy now.

In addition, what I would like to point out is that I have been engaged in several part-time jobs in China to earn money, like handing out fliers, acting as a tutor, serving as an attendant in the restaurant, etc. I am sure that all my family members love me much and they would spare no efforts to satisfy me in various ways, but they are clear that to experience the life on my own is a necessity for me because it can help equip me well enough to step into the society in the future. I have to admit that involving myself in those jobs has made me understand the difficulty of supporting oneself so that I have formed the good habit of frugality. As a matter of fact, it is the first time that I have made income via personal efforts and I am so glad that I can make money simply on my own. Moreover, I have learned some crucial skills that can benefit my entire life and I can pass on those skills generations and generations. Based on this, a fair knowledge can be obtained that this privilege of my own is one that can be recognized as “conferred dominance” since I have really paid a lot of efforts and suffered for it.

What is a pity to say is that I do not have any military experience till now due to my being a girl on the one hand and China’s having no requirement for military experience toward youth. As a result, I have never been engaged in any military activity till now and it is really one of my oppressed or disadvantaged aspects when compared with those ones that have joined the army in the United States. Thus the military experience is the specific social identity that seems to be the most difficult for me to identify my status and I do not have any idea as for how to identify it myself.

In the opposite, marital status is the very social identity that is the easiest one for me to identify since I am unmarried. The detailed case is that I am still a student and my priority at this period of time is to study and marriage is one thing that should come after my graduation. What has to be pointed out is that I am the least of the differences of race when I am in China because I come from the Han nationality which is the main nationality in China. It can be understood in this way that many of my surrounding people are all from the Han nationality and there is no big difference among us. However, race becomes the one that I am most aware of on a daily basis when I am in the United States. The case is that people that are studying here is from different countries all over the world so that they are with different races from one another. As a result, my cultural identity determines that I am of the non-dominant social identity categories in the United States because the American cultural identity is the one that dominates in America. But I do not have the luxury of obliviousness even though I am not of the dominant social identity.

While looking at my overall profile, I am surprised to find that many of my social identity conditions are influenced by my family members. Or maybe it can be put in another way that it is due to them that have turned my social identity conditions to develop in such a way. Therefore I have made up my decision that I will keep improving myself step by step so that I can as well exert positive impacts on the development of my offspring in approaching days.

Essay代写:The Spain

The communication process, a two-way process in which the communicators try to achieve a shared meaning, is important for cross-culture communication. It not only includes verbal communication but nonverbal communication as well. Nonverbal communication is based on culturally agreed upon set of symbols, often governed biologically/involuntarily and comes simultaneously from a multiple of channels. In Spain, the nonverbal communication, including chronemics, eye contact, and postures, is different from that of Canada. In Spain, the concept of time, is seen more of circular and holisticconcept. Not like in Canada or the United States, where time can be lost or gained, Spanish people treat time as a holistic treasure (Hebze,2012). The Spanish have a reputation for “living in the moment” (Kooyers, 2015). In the Automobile industry, it is the same case that most workers work efficiently without overtime and value the time of leisure.

In terms of eye contact, another important nonverbal communication element, the Spanish culture also differs from the culture of Canada. In Canada, eye contact, which shows that one party of the communication is paying attention, communicates a sense of understanding and respect. In Spain, however, it is said that people maintain more contact when speaking but have less eye contact when listening. In the automobile industry, eye contact is of great importance, especially among the sales department because they are facing customers every day. When customers walk in to ask questions about cars and some even have purchasing intentions, the eye contact of the salesperson at the car dealership plays part of the role determining whether there can be a deal. Eye contact, and other non-communication cues in Spain automobile industry can enhance trust and likability of customers both in a B2B and a B2C business setting. When fostering relationship among suppliers and other partnerships, eye contact, body gestures as well as chronemics can significantly impact how the relationship goes.

Proxemics, the interpretation and understanding of space as applied with culture, as one of the nonverbal communication behaviors, also varies from cultures to cultures. Spain is more of an contact culture where people have less restraint with personal space and people touch more frequently in Spanish culture as compared with in Canada (Hebze,2012). In the workplace, people in Canada may feel offended when given too little space or touched too close. However, people in Spain may feel very comfortable with having physical contact with each other. On the opposite, people may feel more amiable when having contact with each other in the workplace in Spain, and it may stimulates business relationships in some occasions. Nonverbal communication plays an important role in communication in business setting. Foreign people should immerse themselves in the culture background when dealing with people native in the culture.

Regarding verbal communication in Spain, it is not as direct as that in Canada. In the workplace specifically, Spaniards prefer to be careful about what they say and how they say it. People may wander around certain points and topics before getting to the real message behind during a negotiation. In addition, they may tell you what you would like to hear rather than the truth and avoid giving negative comments. It can be sensed that it is not a good condition or a severe problem arises when silence occurs. In this case, what we analyze above about the nonverbal communication cues plays an important role to inform you about the true message and interpretations behind the dialogue when communicating with Spaniards if you are a foreigner trying to conduct business in Spain with Spaniards (Katz, 2008). It is recommended to avoid direct approach because they may think of you as pushy and rude in negotiation. However, communication can be expedited and more direct once relationship has been built. In the automobile industry, specifically, negotiation is a large part of the business. Both dealing with customers and dealing with other businesses require great verbal communication skills for the business. When dealing with customers, it is important to manage what the salesperson say in order to leave a good impression. You may not want to go directly to recommend the cars to the customer, but to start the conversation with random chat like the weather, or hobbies and interests of customers. Getting trust through a combination of verbal and non-verbal communication is the first step in developing the relationship. Once it is developed, consistency of your communication should also be paid attention to so that the message of you and your customer could be communicated without misunderstanding and bias.

Spanish is the official language of the entire country. It is notably in Spain that 56% percent of the population do not know or speak a foreign language (Eurobarometer, 2006). While the majority of the country knows the basics of English, few of them speak English fluently (Fork, 2014). Similarly, Spain also does not have a large population that are familiar with French.

Ethnicity, culture and religion in Spain plays an important role forming and influencing their style of communication. Almost the entire population of Spain is Catholic, and most of the people living in Spain are ethnically Spanish (safaritheglobe). In such a country like Spain, which is more of a high-context culture as compared with Canada, and a relatively low-context culture as compared with Asian countries, it is important to determine the appropriate way of global cross-cultural communication. The ethnicity, religion, and culture integrates to impact how people communicates under the cultural setting. In some high-context cultures, personal bonds and informal agreements are a lot more binding than any formal contract (Goman, 2011). However, as compared with Canada, communication in Spain is not as direct and explicit.
