HH氏からメールを受け取りました。 ドイツも雨が降らず暑い日が続いているようです。３０度以上の日が長く続き４０度に届く日もあったそうで庭の水やりを禁止している市や町もあるそうです。日本での滞在も最近の中国やアジアからの観光客の影響でホテルの予約が難しく泊まりたいホテルが観光客で満室になっていて料金も高騰していて困っているそうです。 この夏はアイルランドに家族と一緒に旅行しレンタカーで観光するそうです。 原文も添付しましたので頭の体操に読んでみてください。

I am sorry I have not contacted you for a while. How are you and your art studies doing?
In our area, we have been suffering a lot from an extremely hot summer. I cannot remember one with so many days over 30°C, peaking to almost 40°C sometimes. Above all, there was almost no rain over a very long period. In the neighboring districts, local government has already prohibited to use fresh water for watering the plants in the garden. But I have heard that Japan is affected by a hot weather again, though of course you had rainy season before.
In two weeks, I will go to Ireland for a summer vacation with my family. We plan a round trip by rental car. I reckon the weather condition will be much milder and humid over there.
It seems Japanese economy is profiting a lot from booming tourism, especially from China and other Asian countries. That makes it difficult for us to get a spare hotel room during some periods. Also accommodation cost is rising sharply.
