188. 岡山県見聞録 和気 片上鉄道跡 サイクリングロード「片鉄ロマン街道」

Cycling road itself, like can be equipped with railroad tracks, so the ups and downs in the run are easy. In disused course, you can go as if you were a train passing the station buildings, platform and signals, through a tunnel looking closely. 

片上鉄道は備前市から、柵原町までを南北に結んでいた鉱山鉄道で、柵原鉱山で産出される硫化鉄鉱を、片上港まで輸送するために作られたが、沿線住民の通勤・通学の足としても重要な役割を果たした。その配線跡が整備され、2003年11月24日にサイクリング道が「片鉄ロマン街道」としてオープンした。列車になった気分で駅やトンネルを通過しながら、サイクリングできる。

187. 岡山県見聞録 御津地区 蛍祭り

Firefly can be a symbol of clear water. Only in the clean water streams the larvae of fireflies can mature. Beyond the ecological discourse, fireflies seem to have become a means of regenerating the past or propaganda against some kind of development.

6月になり梅雨入りし、今年も蛍の季節が始まった。岡山市御津虎倉大野地区ホタル祭りが始まる。なぜ偽りの蛍祭りかと言うと、元々はホタルのいる場所ではなく、幼虫を渓流に放ち蛍が育つきれいな蛍の里と言うことをアピールしようとしているからだ。
