234. 京都見聞録 異形の風景 誰もいない世界遺産(2) 宇治上神社

It is a quiet place, located across the Uji River from Byodoin Temple, prominent UNESCO World-Heritage site. This is not flashy, but it's not plain either, producing a solemn atmosphere. Ujigami Shrine became recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1994 together with other shrines and temples in the Kyoto area. Ujigami Shrine is the oldest extant shrine architecture in Japan.

別格に有名な宇治平等院での喧騒が、ここでは嘘のようになくなる。宇治上神社、ここも世界遺産である。世界遺産にしてはあまりにも静かである。神社建築としては現存最古とされ、ただならぬ雰囲気が漂っている。

233. 京都見聞録 異形の風景 誰もいない世界遺産 高山寺

Kozan-ji Temple is located in a peaceful mountain valley in the Takao area. Takao (高雄) is a sparsely populated, mountainous area. Takao becomes most popular during the autumn leaf season, which usually peaks around mid November.

Kozanji Temple dates back to 774 and is recognized as a World Heritage Site. Inside Kozanji, visitors can see what is considered Japan's first manga, a scroll depicting animals in a satire of the court life of the Heian Period. 

In another first, Kozanji claims to be the original site of tea cultivation in Japan. The original tea plantation has recently been restored for visitors to see.

京都の高山寺に来た。世界遺産であり、鳥獣戯画でも有名である。紅葉の季節には駐車場も有料になり、大変混雑するらしい。しかし、季節が違うせいか　人っ子ひとりすれ違わない。静寂すぎる、参道の途中には世界遺産にふさわしい堂々たる巨大倉庫があった。しかし、あまりにも人がいない、でもこの静けさを感じていたい。「♪京都大原三千院、恋に疲れた女がひとり・・・その2番は京都高雄の高山寺、恋に疲れた女がひとり・・・♪」と続く、京都を代表する名刹である。恋に破れた心を癒す季節にやってきてしまったのかもしれない、あまりにも静かだった。

232. 兵庫見聞録 JR餘部駅 「天空の橋」余部橋梁

Amarube Bridge is a railroad bridge on the JR Sanin Line. On December 28 in 1986, an out-of-service train was blown off Amarube railway bridge by strong winds and fell to the ground below, killing six.

昭和の末期に悲劇が起こった。

見事な余部橋梁　鋼製トレッスル橋　難工事であり、冬季の強風もあり、保守もたいへんであった。見事な姿で人気を誇っていた。1912年大正元年、1月13日 -山陰本線、餘部鉄橋は完成。3月1日より香住 - 浜坂間開業と同時に営業運転。満州国設立の年である。











慰霊碑もある。


現在の2代目余部陸橋はエクストラドーズドPC橋である。 Extradosed bridge　









本当に「天空の橋」の名称に相応しいのはラ・ポルボリージャ鉄橋で標高4200mの高地にある。

230. 兵庫見聞録 JR竹田駅 「天空の城 竹田城」

Takeda Castle is located at the altitude of 354 meters above sea level, in the Wadayama-town, Asogo-city, Hyogo Prefecture. It looks like it's floating in the sea of clouds. This has led this castle to be one of Japan's 100 most famous castles and a National Historic Site.

雲海が出た時の摩訶不思議な姿から「天空の城」と呼ばれ、有名になった竹田城跡。その石垣の美しさから、標高354ｍの山の山頂ではあるが「日本のマチュピチュ」とも称され、大人気であり、入場料もしっかり徴収され管理され、ライトアップまでされている。

竹田城跡は永享3（1431年）に山名宗全が築城したと考えられている古城跡である。山名宗全は応仁の乱の西軍の総大将。

226. 岡山県見聞録 県境のお店

Located the Tottori - Okayama prefectural border on R53, this restaurant is easily accessible from Tottori and Okayama. Its location and appearance makes me think of The Restaurant That Has Many Orders -WILDCAT HOUSE by Kenji Miyazawa. So this restaurant is sure to linger in your memory.

岡山県勝田郡奈義町馬桑763-2
山の中にぽつりとあるロケーションといい、外観といい「注文の多い料理店」を連想させる謎めいた雰囲気のレストランがある。しかし、主要国道沿いにあるため、かなり有名である。







夕方までに、入らないと閉まってしまう。
