On this day 44 years ago ,Okinawa "reverted" to Japan
from control under the United States.
After the U.S, military occupied Okinawa during the
Battle of Okinawa ,it cut off Okinawa from Japan
and placed the prefecture under the domination of
the United States for some 27 years.
The U.S military built bases during this occupation.
What was the world like during this period of time
known as "America Yu"?
