Essay代写:The NESTs and NNESTs

Introduction

As English becomes the world’s lingua used by more and more people, teachers in the field of English language teaching(ELT) are in great need, including Non-native English speaking teacher(NNESTs) and native English speaking teachers (NESTs). In my opinion, NESTs are better teachers than NNESTs with their strengths of natural environment to study English, and daily use of English, which ensures more uptakes in teaching English.

Experience

NESTs emphasize more uptakes in teaching, which is better than NNESTs’ focus on mere language input into learners. When I try to find job or internship on the Internet about teaching English, there are more demands in non-English speaking countries such as in China. But a lot of language schools or companies want to find teachers who got the TESOL certificate, and most of them need the teachers who are the English native speakers. This is first time that I was touch in this situation which I never know before. Later, I found that this situation is not only found in China, but in lot of courtiers especially their mother tongue language is not English, after I talked with Ruby Macksoud, which is my professor in TESOL course. She pointed out that this situation appeared long times ago which discriminated the NNESTs because the languages schools or companies hold the view that NESTs had a good environment to study English, they use English all day long which is a communicative tool with each other. However, for NNESTs, English is only a course that learning in the class. They always use their first language when talking. I agree with her. I also found that NESTs emphasize more uptakes in teaching with their natural understanding of English, with NNESTs’ focus on mere language input into learners according to grammatical knowledge. Uptake stresses the active role of students’ understanding as well, but input put students at a passive position of leaning English. Recently, a commonly accepted idea that the number of NNESTs are becoming bigger and bigger around the world, especially after the TESOL training program was born. The NNESTs English or teaching ability is not enough for teaching students.

Conclusion

To sum up, a natural conclusion can be drawn that NESTs is better than NNESTs as NESTs stress more uptakes in teaching English with their strengths of natural environment to study English, and daily use of English.

Assignment代写:The avocado

The business of choice is an avocado plantation located in Yunnan province, China. Avocado is listed as the most nutritious fruit in the World Book of Encyclopedia. It contains rich anti-aging nutrients, such as vitamin C, D, E, and OMEGA-3 aliphatic acid. Originated in Mexico and America, the small, dark green fruit has only gained its popularity in recent years. The taste and texture of avocado is unlike any other fruit, which is soft and buttery, making it a unique agricultural product that isn’t easily replaced. There are also numerous ways to combine avocado with other food and ingredients, which bring freshly wonderful tastes to the modern diet.

The major places of avocado production include America, Mexico, Chile and New Zealand. China is also beginning to grow increasing amounts of avocados in the southern provinces, such as Hainan and Guangxi. However, the proposed location for the avocado business will be set in Yunnan Province. Firstly, the hot and humid climate in Yunnan will ensure that the avocado tree grow in the proper environment. Secondly, since avocado trees are extremely susceptible to strong wind, the inland location of Yunnan will protect the fruit from typhoons and other extreme weather conditions in the coastal areas. Lastly, completion of the railway projects that connect Yunnan with five countries in Southeast Asia will greatly reduce the cost of transportation, making it easier and cheaper for the fruit to be exported.

Section 2: What to Produce and How Much to Produce

The main product of the business would be avocados, obviously. The possibility of a secondary product is yet to be seen, since the fruit itself doesn’t need much of cooking or processing. In the year of 2011, the amount of avocado imported for China was only 32 thousand kilograms. In 2014, however, the number increased to 4.07 million, which was a 127-times increase in four years. The domestic demand of avocado is still on the rise, with the fruit gaining increasing popularity. With such a trend, there isn’t much of concern about the channels of distribution, even without considering the foreign market.

A typical avocado tree takes around four years to grow before bearing fruits. Starting from the sixth year of growth, the trees would produce a steady amount of fruits annually. The typical annual production of an avocado tree ranges from 60 to 200 kilograms, averaging at 70. The initial plan is to plant about 100 trees in the plantation area of one acre, which will produce a total of 7000 kilograms of avocados annually. When the rate of production becomes steady after the sixth year, expansion of the plantation will be considered.

Section 3: Inputs and Technology Used

The initial investment would be used for land acquirement, establishment of plantation facilities, and purchase of seedlings, fertilizers and pesticides. For one acre of the plantation, about five staffs would be adequate for planting trees and maintenance works. After the trees fruit, more laborers can be hired for the picking and packaging works.

Since it would take four years for an avocado tree to produce, the environment of the plantation must be modified to ensure that the trees grow properly. Avocado is originally grown in tropical forests, where trees grow to compete for sunlight. Therefore, the location of the plantation must have high temperature all year round to expedite growth. Without a proper environment, it would take an avocado tree much longer to fruit. To mimic the forestry environment, the land surface of the plantation must be covered with organic matters which are rich in microbes. This cover also serves as a trap of heat and water. Since the avocado trees are very sensitive to humidity, soil conditions should be frequently monitored and adjusted. A proper drainage system is also necessary so that excessive amounts of water can be expelled in the monsoon seasons.

Section 4: Impact of Other Businesses

There are already established bases of avocado production in Guangxi province of China. Their production provides precious experiences for its successors so that potential mistakes can be avoided by learning from their mistakes. In addition, avocado plantations are also seen in other provinces and some of the southeast Asian countries, such as Burma. However, these plantations have yet to form large scales of production. One of the possible ways to gain advantage is by working with experts in the field and trying to increase the production rate of avocados while maintaining and even enhancing the flavor and nutritious contents in the fruit. Branding through e-commerce is another way to distinguish the business from other avocado producers in the area. Taking advantage of the highly developed express delivery network in China, an online store can be set up, so that customers can buy avocados directly from where it is produced.

Section 5: Impact of Global Economy

There are only a few locations globally that satisfy the expanding avocado demand. Since avocado trees are very susceptible to weather, natural disasters in these locations would significantly influence the amount of production, hence pushing up the price of avocados in the global market. For the moment, most of the avocado demand comes from the urbanized and developed areas of the world, including North America, Europe and Australia. With avocados being more and more popular, a larger market would be developed with newly added demand and supply from China and Southeast Asia, so that disaster in one location would become must less influential. The price of an avocado is mainly comprised of four parts, the value of the fruit itself, influence of the environment, transportation and tax. In addition, public understanding and acceptance is also important for avocado sales. Each of these factors needs to be carefully examined before determining the major distribution channels of the business.

Paper

Eileen Quinlan and Walead Beshty

The conversation between Eileen Quinlan and Walead Beshty gives a fair amount of insight into how these artists think and process imagery. Their interpretations are both similar yet unique when it comes to photography. Quinlan and Beshty's works are often labeled as abstract and modernistic due to their unique look and the modernist painting paradigm. However, both Quinlan and Beshty disagrees with this labeling as they are more concerned with presenting a visualization of how images can be displayed through various materials and means of creation. Quinlan is able to create multi-dimensional images through photographing constructions of foam, mirrors and other common materials. On the other hand, Beshty's images are purely a game of chance through a particular set of predetermined rules by exposing multicolored paper to light while in the darkroom. Quinlan and Beshty are also influenced by the conepts and ideals of Lazlo Moholy-Nagy; Moholy-Nagy has always been remembered as someone who advocated for the integration of technology and industry into the arts. In other words, he was an extremely innovative individual when it came to art and often went against the norm to create something entirely different. The same can be said for Beshty and Quinlan; in their conversation, they touch on the subject of creating art through multiple means, techniques and materials. Beshty's photo-grams are a clear example of the complex process in which his images are created; the final work is the result of multiple factors such as tension between papers, confines of the darkroom, the architectural infrastructure and environment around him. Ultimately all of these factors added together will create a unique image. It's also important to note that each image created will have minute differences which might be undetectable to the naked eye, which makes each image unique.

One of the ideas that Eileen discussed was her view towards uniqueness and scarcity. It's very interesting how she interprets scarcity and value of her images. As someone who enjoys going against the current, Eileen expresses her belief that images can be both created in mass as well as generate the feeling of exclusivity. One of the examples is her work The Full Edition of Smoke and Mirrors this is basically a set of images which from afar look to be all the same but upon closer look the minute details are different. In addition, this image consists of 6 individual canvases with the same image and is sold as one piece. In this sense, not only is the image reproducible but it's also scarce as the each of the 6 images are not individually sold. Another interesting discussion the two artists touched on, was the idea of an image displaying more than just the image itself. In the words of Quinlan “encourage people to focus less on the image and more on the distribution itself, the construct of editioning”. This is a pretty important notion as basically Quinlan wants her images to not focus on simply being eye-candy but to give the audience a first hand look and experience on how imagery shifts depending on material and the process in which a single image is achieved.

The viewpoints and insights shared between Quinlan and Eileen are most definitely respectable and agreeable. However, I do disagree with their idea of not being classified as abstract. Looking at how they create their artwork and taking into account the definition of abstract, their images most definitely lean more towards abstract in nature. The images created by the two artists lack a concrete form to be labeled as non-abstract. In addition, many of the images are a collage of shapes and arbitrary lines or patterns created by the use of techniques specific to the ideals of 'modernistic artwork'. Of course that is not say that because their images are abstract, but simply to state that their images do indeed belong in the family of abstract art.

Essay代写:The artistic creation

Art is something hard to define, whether recognizable or ambiguous, whether shattered or integrated, whether true or illusion. Art, nowadays, has been changed a lot, including forms, styles and materials. However, how to define what kind of art is meaningful? As far as I am concerned, the ambiguous recognizability and shattered integrity are what make art meaningful and attractive.

When wondering around an exhibition, you may hear many people feel puzzled about what the painter is going to tell, and that is called ambiguity. The untitled picture of a working lady standing in front of the buildings taken by Cindy Sherman in 1978 is a good example of the combination of recognizability and ambiguity. Audience are sure that the lady on the picture was a career girl in that time and she was obviously anxious. However, what they do not know is what happened on the day the picture was taken, therefore the photographer left a huge imagination space for audience. In contrast, some artists may like to use the name of the work to indicate the theme, using a single word or two to make audience understood suddenly when they catch sight of the name. But this one is different, in the series of the photographer’s pictures, there was nothing related to this picture, thus this was a staged one.

Shattered integrity is another characteristic for the theatrical pictures or photographs. For example, the mother-and-child picture is obviously not a complete one, however, it seems that none of the information is missing in the picture. We can easily find out that this is a mother holding her child in the kitchen and they are happy. People know this picture is a cut-out, maybe from a book or a magazine, but they seldom care the origins of the picture but the theme. Therefore, this picture is shattered but also completed. Sometimes, the artists intend to make the completed works incomplete in order to achieve its integrity. For example, the famous masterpiece Venus de Milo, used to be an integrated sculpture, but it was just a sculpture with no extraordinary attractions. But a Venus without her arms makes audience notice how beautiful Venus is, even she does not own arms any more. And due to the radical innovation, this work became a masterpiece. Though this work was not a representative of the modernism, the artist Milos indicated how attractive the shattered integrity was.

Artworks in modernism were all under delicate radical innovation to make progress. And in my opinion, radical innovation is as important in the modernism as in today’s art. When doing artworks, artists sometimes try to make every single work perfect but neglecting the aim of this work. Therefore, when creating works, the whole concept of the works is more important than the detailed parts and artists need to consider innovation in each step of their creations. In addition, artists should jump out of the limitation of art form, for example, Two Fencers by Goldstein is a good way to show the combination of different art forms and also it an example to show the importance of radical innovation.

In conclusion, no matter when and where the creation of work exists, and no matter what concepts which the artists are going to convey, the attempt to pursue the integrity with the co-existence of scatter and incompleteness should be followed by all the artists. The aim of creating works is for artists to convey ideas, therefore artists should accomplish works on the basis of understanding their aims. In this way, they can better make use of the artistic techniques and achieve their potentials.
