今日は天気予報通り雪が降りました。

外出自粛の週末、キッチンの残り物で何か？
　残ったドライマンゴーにコアントローを少し振りかけ、残ったミックスナッツを荒く潰して、パンケーキの素、卵、ミルクと混ぜ、オーブンで焼いて。
出来上がったパウンドケーキ。まあまあでした。

読書 『チーズはどこへ消えた？』 Who Moved My Cheese?

日本国内も、厳しい状況になってきたようです。
ここで、グッと我慢して拡散を防ぎたいものです。
自宅待機中、あれこれ片付けをしてます。
そこで見つけた本を改めてパラパラめくってみたら、今にピッタリの内容では！
『チーズはどこへ消えた？』　１９９９年度全米ビジネス書ベストセラー第一位

The situation in Japan is getting more severe.
This is when we have to be extra patient and cooperative, and hopefully, stop the spreading of the virus.
I'm using my time at home to organise my things here and there,
and found this book that feels perfect for this moment!
It is "Who Moved My Cheese?", a New York Times business bestseller from 1998 that remains one of the best-selling business books.

『チーズ』を『安全』『安心』に置き換えると今の世界中の危機にも。
思いがけない自由な時間に、こんな本も良いかな〜と。
When we replace the "Cheese" with "Safety" or "Stability", it can fit the situation in the world.
With an unexpected free time, I thought why not pick up a book like this.

　もう一つ、片付けていたら出てきた我が家のお宝！
Also, this is another treasure that I rediscovered in my organising!



静かに碁盤、碁石を使って勉強するのも良いですね！
It is nice to have some quiet time to study with a Go board and Go stones.

３月２２日にご紹介したミニ碁盤の追加
　これはプラスチック製ですが、よくできてますよ！
海外で碁盤を紹介する時に重宝しました。
碁石もついてます。
Following my post on March 22nd about mini Go sets,
this is another one. It's plastic but very realistic!
It was very helpful when explaining about Go boards in my time abroad.
It also comes with Go stones.

東京都 感染拡大 週末は不要不急に外出自粛要請 Increase in cases in Tokyo: Request to stay indoors during the weekend

　遂に東京の感染が拡大されてきました。
　お花見したいところですが、グッと我慢ですね！
　囲碁界の囲碁イベント、囲碁普及は既にキャンセルされてます。　
　私達プロ棋士の殆どは対局だけが残された仕事です。
　(もちろん、インターネット指導などはオーケー)
　プロ棋士の対局は同室対局の場合はいつもより広く間隔幅取ってあります。
　しかし、朝１０時からスタートし、持ち時間３時間だと終局は夕方６時前後。
　長い時間です。。。。マスクしながらの対局も、辛いですね。
　タイトル戦、リーグ戦などは東京、大阪、名古屋、その上、地方対局もあり移動があります。
　*国際戦は延期。
　多くのスポーツは無観客観戦、又は試合無しになっていますね。。。
　今後に事は行末を見守るしかありません。
　
　しばらくは家で、あれこれ溜まり溜まっている片付けに専念します。

The virus spread is starting to accelerate in Tokyo.
It would be nice to go out and enjoy cherry blossoms but now is not the time!
Go events have already been cancelled for a while.
For us Go professionals, the tournaments are the only jobs left for most of us.
(Of course, we are free to teach Go online)
If multiple people need to be in the same room for the professional tournaments, the tables are more separated apart than usual.
But we start at 10am and if the game gives 3hours per player, we finish the game around 6pm.
It's a long time to be in the same spot.. and it's not comfortable to play games with masks on.
Title matches and league matches take place in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and sometimes in other regional cities which means it involves moving across the country.
*international games are postponed.
Many sport events are hosted without a live audience amid coronavirus concerns or cancelled...
We have to be patient and see how things go.

In the meantime, I'll focus on organizing and sorting things out at home, that is long overdue anyways.

今日の散歩で見つけた花々
水仙とムスカリが咲き始めました！
良い季節です。。。。。
Today, I found these flowers during my walk.
Narcissus & Muscari were starting to bloom!
It's a beautiful season...

水仙の英語はNarcissus 花言葉は『ナルシスト』ギリシャ神話に由来する。
Narcissus is said to be named after the Greek myth.



ムスカリの花言葉は『明るい未来』　今、世界に必要な言葉ですね！
Muscari symbolizes "bright future" in Japan. It's a message that we need in the world right now!
