４０年たっても進展せず

　The parents of a girl who was abducted

by North Korea expressed frustration

at the lack of progress in efforts to

return her 40 years after her kidnapping at 13.

"She is in a country so close.

Why can we not rescue her?"

Sakie Yokota,81 said of her daughter Megumi.

　北朝鮮に拉致された少女の両親が、少女

が１３歳で拉致されてから４０年たっても帰国

に向けた進展がないことに落胆をあらわにした。

　横田早紀江さん（８１）は娘のめぐみさんに

ついて、「すぐ近い国にいる。どうして助け

てあげられないのか」と語った。
