カブースの発電機

　カブースってこんなところに発電機を積んでいるのですね。知りませんでした。

The first 17 cabooses equipped with diesel engines were done between 1946 and 1947.
These were equipped with 3,000 watt, 60 cycle single phase, 110-volt a.c. generator directly connected to a 4-hp, one-cylinder Witte diesel engine. Witte was located in Kansas City, KS.
Additional wood cabooses were converted in later years.
Besides providing power for the radios, these also provided power for the 50 watt bulbs used in the marker lights, the 100 watt bulbs in back-up lamps mounted on each end and general interior lighting.
