In the world of new religions, Rissho Kosei-kai is effectively the second-largest organization after Soka Gakkai and a well-known rival. However, it is rapidly losing its influence. 

Even leaders of other religious groups praise it as a devout organization, and lawyers handling complaints about religious misconduct rarely hear its name in connection with issues like excessive donations or aggressive recruitment. Therefore, its decline in membership is not due to the same reasons troubling other groups currently under scrutiny.
