怨み屋本舗" is a manga series centered around a mysterious woman operating "Uramoya" who offers revenge services. When someone harbors a grudge, she appears with a black business card, promising to settle their grievances. The series explores themes of revenge and justice as Uraniwa and her unique companions confront the darker aspects of society, delivering retribution against those who exploit or harm others.

Located in a quiet residential area of Kichijoji, the "Makoto-chan House" is known as the home and office of famous manga artist Kazuo Umezu. This Western-style building features distinctive red and white striped exterior walls and a triangular roof, named after Umezu's iconic work "Makoto-chan". In 2007, when Umezu attempted to renovate the house, nearby residents filed for an injunction to halt construction, claiming it would harm the neighborhood's aesthetics. However, the court dismissed the residents' lawsuit, and Umezu won the case in 2009. Despite his legal victory, Umezu chose not to reside in the house. Currently, the garden is overgrown, and the building has fallen into disrepair.

The water pollution problem in the Seine River has become severe for the triathlon event at the Paris Olympics. A Belgian female athlete fell ill after the women's triathlon competition on July 31, and tests at the hospital detected pathogenic E. coli. Despite approximately 230 billion yen being invested in improving the Seine's water quality, heavy rainfall since the opening ceremony has caused sewage and wastewater to flow into the river, resulting in continued exceedance of E. coli standards.

Kyoto Tower, completed in 1964, stands as a symbol of Kyoto City, reaching a height of 131 meters. The decision to construct the tower was prompted by an executive from the Kyoto Industrial Tourism Center, who suggested creating a tower suitable for Kyoto after seeing the Yokohama Marine Tower. The Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port and was known as Japan's tallest lighthouse at that time, standing at 106 meters. Kyoto Tower was designed to resemble a lighthouse, illuminating the landlocked city of Kyoto. Its height of 131 meters was chosen to reflect the city's population of 1.31 million at the time of its construction. The tower has since become a popular starting point for tourists, offering a panoramic view of the city from its observation deck, located 100 meters above ground level.
