Senryu is a three line Japanese poem that is structurally similar to haiku poetry.
So 17 syllables or less.
It differs from Haiku because it’s subject matter much more concerned with human nature and satiric humour.
So Senryu projects the age and the society in a short form of 5/7/5.

I went to buy flower seeds, but they were out of stock and had no choice but to buy liqueur and sweets.
冬から春の花として毎年育てている三色すみれ。
種を買いに行ったが品切れ。花の種はアルコールと菓子になってしまった。
