MERRY CHRISTMAS

２４日夜メトロ店スタッフでRISAKO宅でクリスマスパーティーをしました。

 

メトロ店近くでメトロ店のお客様のやっている大漁市場という日本居酒屋で

 

お寿司(all トロ)を注文しその他KFC、ピザなどを持ち込みお腹いっぱい食べました。

On christmas eve, we held a party at Risako's house.
We ordered some sushi (all tuna) at one of our customer's business close to our store. We also picked up some KFC and Pizza and ate till our hearts content.

 

トロは全てトロでしたが、美味かったぁ～。

 

お酒も持ち寄りましたが、みんな食べる方に夢中で最後は

 

saku.mako.zen.ayaが胃薬を飲む始末。

 

今回GOは家族と過ごす為不在でしたが、スタッフ皆クリスマスを楽しみました。

The tuna was... all toro but it was delicious!
We brought some alcohol aswell but it seemed like everyone was more into the food.
Zen, Mako and Aya had to take some stomach medicine.
This time, Go had to spend his christmas with his familly but we all had a great time here at the metrotown branch.

 

僕にとって初めての海外で過ごすクリスマス。

日本よりも本当にBIGイベントで楽しかったです。

みなさんはどんなクリスマスを過ごしましたか？

 

この時期暴飲暴食には気をつけましょう。

 

そして明日はnew year。

今年も色々な方々に支えられ無事に１年過ごす事ができました。

For me, this was my first christmas in Canada.
unlike Japan, christmas is considered a big event.
How did you spend your christmas?

Lets all be cautious of how much we eat and drink during the holiday seasons.

And tommorow is the new year.
This year all kinds of things happend but we managed to get through the year.

冬といえば・・・！？

初めて投稿しますYUKOです

少しずつ冬も深まる中みなさまいかがお過ごしでしょうか？？

ここ数日はカラッと気持ちいい、空気もシャキっとした天候が続いてますね

そんな体を動かしたくなるような気温の中、Beachでは

健康志向が広がり始めました

筋トレだのダンスだの始めようってなってます

筋トレはBODY ROCKというサイトを使って一日一回

実行したらメールで報告しあってます  

ダンスも一緒に参加しに行ったりと冬とは思えないアクティブさです

このまま筋トレ、ダンスを続けて漸進改造を目指す今日この頃です

今度ご来店の際は、是非腹筋の割れ具合に注目して下さい

This is my first post! I'm Yuko.
Winter is setting in, I hope everyone is doing well.
We've been getting nice and cool wheather these past days.
Because the winter is making everyone soo active at our salon
there has been a spread of health awarness.
"Weight trainning, or dancing, lets start what ever!" is our attitude these days.
For weight trainning, we have been using a website called BODY ROCK.
The site provides excercises and lets you keep contact with your trainner every day.
I join in on the dance classes on ocassion aswell.
Our activeness is unbelievable for the season.
I plan to keep up the dancing and weight trainning to have a complete make over of myself.
Next time you visit, please check out my abs of steel from all the sit ups

クリスマスマーケット

DAVIE店ERIです。最近は雪も降りイルミネーションも綺麗で

街全体がクリスマスムード一色になっています。

先日夫とMETRO店のSAKUと

ダウンタウンのクリスマスマーケットに行ってきました。

このクリスマスマーケットは毎年外のスペースで開催され

ドイツのクリスマスマーケットだそうです。

雑貨、お菓子、ホットドッグ、メリーゴーランドなど

色々な店があり、おじいちゃんバンドの生演奏により

とてもよい雰囲気でした。

日本とはまた違う雰囲気のクリスマスをおもいきり満喫したいと思います。

This is Eri from the Davie branch.
Recentley, it has snowed and illuminations have lit up all over the city. It has become more and more like christmas.
A few days ago, I went to the christmas market with my husband and Saku from metrotown branch.
We went to the christmas market in downtown.
This market is held outdoors every year. It is a german style christmas market.
There were snacks, hotdogs, merry go-rounds.
There were all kinds of stores.
The Seniors live band playing
made a nice atmosphere for the marketplce.
I want to be able to get the most out
of christmas here this year.

カナダに来て初めての事

先日、友人宅のポットラックパーティで、はじめてMOOSEの肉を食べました

BC州北部出身の友人の家族がフレッシュな肉を送ってきてくれました

ガーリック、オニオン、ハーブなどを入れたソースを煮込んでいる間

みんな興味深々で、その肉の周りに集まってました

その肉は真っ赤で新鮮そのものでした

新鮮な肉は生でも食べられるとのことで、一口トライしてみました

それはまぐろのさしみのようで、さっぱりしてまろやかなやさしい味でした

その後にソースで炒めた肉も食べました

ビーフジャーキーのような味で、とてもやわらかくすごく美味しかったです

カナディアンの人達は、調理された肉の方が好きなようで、あっという間になくなってしまいました

北の地方では、自分たちでハントして、熊の肉も食べるそうです

でもとてもクセがあってほとんどの人はあまり好きじゃないけど

手作りのソーセージにして食べると、とっても美味しいとのこと

いつかチャンスがあればトライしてみたいです

At my friend's potluck party, for the first time, I had Moose meat!!
His familly friends who live up north in BC, shipped some fresh meat to them.
While the sauce with garlic,onions, and herbs were simmering.
Everyone was crowding around for the preperation of the meat.
The meat was bright red. It was indeed fresh!
It is said that fresh meat can be eaten raw so I tried a bite.
It was kinda like eating sashimi, a very gentle flavour to it.
After that we cooked the meat with the sauce.
The flavour of the meat was like beef jerky. It was very soft and tasty.
Canadians seem to prefer prepared meats. The food was all gone in an instant.
Apparently up north, they hunt bears to eat.
They said its got a very different taste, and that most people would not like it. Its apparently good if you make it into a handmade sausage.
I would like to try that one day if I get the chance.

ウマイ！！

先日オーナーのミサコお手製のアップルパイと五目煮とたくあんを差し入れで頂きました。

営業後写真を撮ろうと思ったらアップルパイは既に１キレのみになっていて

たくあんも写真に収めるには悲しいくらい少量になっていました

差し入れ食べて癒されて忙しい１２月を乗り切っていきたいと思います

 Recently our boss, Misako, brought us some goods for the staff.
By the time I got the camera ready for the photo, there was only a pie left!
The pickles were also practically gone, so I couldnt take a picture.
Lets work hard into the holidays.

こんにちは～

先日の祝日“リメンバランスディ”

 第二回『トレッキング部』

行ってきましたウィスラー近くのチャカムスレイクに！！！

１１月という事もあり、気温はなななんと－5℃

車を降りた瞬間きーーーんとした空気

何ともいえないワクワク感です

地面も小川も凍って、

霜柱、ツララもたくさんできていました

 

今回チャカムスレイクまでは簡単な道のりを約1時間

あっという間でした

湖の周りはきれいに凍っていて、何とも神秘的な光景でした

帰り道、雪が降ってきてあっという間に積もっていきました～

やっぱり自然っていいですね

ということで、部員まだまだ募集中で～す
