JR Kyushu announced that the company will abandon plans to resume operations of the high-speed ferry “Queen Beetle” (QB), which has a capacity of 502 passengers, following the issue of concealing water ingress during its operation.
As a result, JR Kyushu will withdraw from the Japan-Korea route. This decision brings an end to the JR Kyushu Group’s approximately 30-year history of operating the Japan-Korea route since its launch in 1991.
I remember taking this high-speed ferry to Korea many times. It was really comfortable because of the stable ride and how quickly it arrived.
