８０歳男性、代々木病院敷地でブレーキ誤操作か…車いす男性ら２人はね１人死亡
１６日午後１時５０分頃、東京都渋谷区千駄ヶ谷の代々木病院の敷地で、車いすに乗っていた自営業の男性（７８）（新宿区四谷）と７０歳代の男性が後退してきた乗用車にはねられた。自営業の男性は腰などを強く打って死亡し、７０歳代の男性も頭を打って意識不明の重体。
警視庁原宿署の発表によると、車を運転していたのは港区赤坂、無職の男性（８０）で、駐車スペースに車を止めようと後退した際、車輪止めを乗り越えて２人をはねた。原宿署はブレーキ操作を誤ったとみて、自動車運転死傷行為処罰法違反（過失運転致死傷）容疑で事情を聞いている。 読売新聞

Do Masks Work? A Review Of The Evidence
It's striking how much the CDC, in marshalling evidence to justify its revised mask guidance, studiously avoids mentioning randomized controlled trials. RCTs are uniformly regarded as the gold standard in medical research, yet the CDC basically ignores them apart from disparaging certain ones that particularly contradict the agency's position.
In a "Science Brief" highlighting studies that "demonstrate that mask wearing reduces new infections" and serving as the main public justification for its mask guidance, the CDC provides a helpful matrix of 15 studies—none RCTs. The CDC instead focuses strictly on observational studies completed after Covid-19 began.
In general, observational studies are not only of lower quality than RCTs but also are more likely to be politicized, as they can inject the researcher's judgment more prominently into the inquiry and lend themselves, far more than RCTs, to finding what one wants to find.
7- We highly recommend that you follow Alex Berenson on his Substack account. He is one of the very few who have reported honestly on the data since the beginning of Covid-CCP.

埼玉県警越谷署は１６日、他人のキャッシュカードで現金を引き出したとして、窃盗の疑いで川崎市宮前区東有馬、音楽家、須崎龍一被告（３３）＝別の窃盗罪で起訴＝を追送検した。
署によると、須崎容疑者はディスクジョッキー（ＤＪ）として活動している。特殊詐欺グループ内で現金引き出す役目の「出し子」とみられ、計約２３３０万円の被害を確認し捜査を終結したとしている。
追送検容疑は、何者かと共謀し、昨年５月１日から２日にかけて計１４回、神奈川県内のコンビニエンスストアのＡＴＭ（現金自動預払機）で、数枚のキャッシュカードを使用し現金１９６万７千円を引き出したとしている。容疑を認めているという。カードはグループの別の人物がだまし取るなどしたものとみられる。 産経新聞
小笠原諸島付近で新島を確認…
１１年ぶり噴火の海底火山、過去３回は「島」消滅
１１年ぶりに噴火が確認された小笠原諸島付近の海底火山「福徳岡ノ場（ふくとくおかのば）」について、気象庁は１６日、新島（直径約１キロ・メートル）を確認したと発表した。これまでにも噴火後に「島」が確認されたことが３回あったが、いずれも波に浸食されるなどして消滅している。
福徳岡ノ場は小笠原諸島・硫黄島の南約５０キロ・メートルにあり、１３日に噴火。海上保安庁の航空機が１５日午後１時頃に新島を確認した。島は海底火山を取り囲むような馬蹄（ばてい）形で、北西側では海面約６０キロ・メートルにわたって噴出した軽石などが浮遊していた。
気象庁によると、福徳岡ノ場の噴火は明治以降に少なくとも７回確認され、うち３回で島が出現した。最後に島が確認されたのは１９８６年だったが約２か月後に海に沈むなど、いずれも島として残らなかった。
産業技術総合研究所の山元孝広・副研究部門長（火山学）は、「福徳岡ノ場ではこれまで、溶岩ではなく軽石が噴出してきた。噴煙の高さから今回の噴火もこのタイプで、島は軽石でできているとみられる。溶岩に切り替われば島として残ることもありえるが、現状では可能性は低い」と話している。 読売新聞
