Oh, we should’ve gone visiting ikea earlier. This is amazing. Oh, I like this shop. I like simple cheapy furniture. I can imagine what kind of room I want to live in clearly now. I couldn’t imagine with our present house for a long time. Actually I wish we had more money, then we could change our kitchen or the bowl for washing hands or closets, to more comfortable. I don’t like the things that just look gorgeous, or rich outside. I like more simple, useful things. I wish I knew this shop before we moved in here.
Another thing, I really hadn’t realized; I like Swedish foods. Their breakfast plate was wonderful. How they could put all my favorite foods on one plate! I had to buy their herby sauce on the first floor.
One thing I don’t like about this shop was the shop people. Ikea asks customers to do almost everything by themselves. I can totally understand their policy. And I can understand they are training shop people like that. But that attitude of shop people, sometimes made me feel they don’t want to help customers. If they saw somebody having trouble in front of them, they could say something, can’t they? I felt like shop people can’t see anybody around them. For example, I wanted to buy cloth. I have to bring a bunch of cloth by myself, and I have to cut it by myself. Well, that’s all right. When I started to cut, the shop people moved away from me. I can read their board, but this was the first time. You can give me an advice? Finally, I cut off the cloth, and he knew I was finished and I was waiting for him to write the price on my cloth, but he suddenly can’t see me. I was in front of him, you know! I had to ask him to come over to beg to finish. After, at the casher, another shop people asked me to move my cart to queue in another line. She pushed my cart, and my things fell off the cart. I was holding my boy’s hand, and my bags were heavy and big, but, she just walked away! Again! You can’t help that? Or you can say something? After that I went to the loo, Bloody Hell! Not again, no toilet paper in the holder. This is the second time today. Yes, toilet rolls and rolls and rolls on the shelf, yes I know I have to put bloody toilet paper into the holder by myself? Is that coincidence or another of their bloody rules? Shop is for what? It reminds me of Patagonia in Japan, who won’t give you a shopping bag, even if you spent a fortune, or you don’t have any extra bag. If you ask them for a shopping bag, you feel guilty and really bad, you feel like you are destroying the world. I bet that is their policy. But not in Northshore Patagonia, they wrap clothes for you and don’t give you any fear. Strange thing is, in Northshore Patagonia they gave me more strong feeling that we have to protect the earth and nature. And that feeling pushed me to carry my own shopping bag though.
