Giant table spoons, adult off-sets

Conchita, the first two photos showing you the status
of the current lot on coating, as of yesterday.

The whole lot of the chopstics will end up in
A's and the adult off-sets will be divided up
amongst other shops.

I am busy with coatings. I have a lot more
outside these photos, wanting to go mat.
The porblem is the drying bed. Even the latest

addition of the nail beds is not enough to
cope with a very large number of items.

Here directly below you see the chopstics (oak)
as of yesterday. One further below showing you
today's result.

I am not being idle, but then there are chores.

Here below some of the oak pieces to b formed
into chopstics. Actually, there are some more.
I did not time how each one of these takes

before becoming coating ready, but my guess is
15 minutes/pair. That is about JPY 4,000 net.
I can live with that...

These days I work longer, until 17:00 strict,
unless absolutely vital. So, I am left with only
7,8 minutes, then I shift my attention to

giant spoons. Those underneath the two above
are incomplete, but dressing up each only
takes less than 10 minutes.

That suits me a lot.

Actually, even when these are coating ready
I will not do that. I want to experimnt with
a new coating material, which I have yet to

purchase. It is a kind of a sealer. It is
supposed to work well with spongy materials
like conifers. That remains to be seen, though.

Right now, I am being stretched to my fabrication
limit by these chopstics. I like them, though.
This is the first time I have seriously

attempted to create oak chopstics. Tommorrow,
I will be flat out working on them, so expect
a dull series of photos!

Take care and vaya con Dios!
