Dear friends.

I dare announce to you very unfortunately that Tsukuba - the national science city having been constructed for years as a new center of Japan islands finally ended in failure yesterday.

Please recognize some of the critical connections you made are lost eternally and redesign a brand new and more constructive future for national people.

123便事件が起きた1985年、その年は茨城県の筑波研究学園都市で科学万博が開催された年でもありました。乗客の中には万博を訪れたその帰りに同便を利用された方々も居られます。

この国家予算を大量投入されて建設された計画都市と123便事件の間にどのような関係があったのか、地震があったちょうどその頃、同都市と常総市の三妻を繋ぐ茨城県道123号線を走りながら、その意味をずっと考えていました。
