新暦の3月26日は旧暦でいうと如月十日になります。 また、七十二候では 桜始開（さくらはじめてひらく）という日です。 春分を過ぎて、本当に暖かくなりました。 我が家の近くでは、桜が満開になっています。 日にちは少し遅くなりましたが、近所の神社の桜が見事でしたので写真を撮りました。

暖かくなったと思ったら、台風並みの暴風雨が荒れ狂ったり・・・。 なかなか、大変なこの頃です。 三寒四温とはよく言ったものです。
それでも確実に季節は進んでいて、庭の梅が満開になりましたし、鉢植えの幾つかの小木は小さな葉を広げ始めています。
そんな中、昨日、今年初めての竹の子を食しました。 女房殿の関係で、毎年かなり早目に竹の子を入手することが可能です。
小さな握り拳大の竹の子が二本。 竹の子ご飯にしようか、それともこのサイズなら刺身がいいかなどと思案した結果、刺身にしました。
思った通り、渋味（エグミという人が多いようですが）は全くなく、それでいて適度の歯ごたえがあり、十分に春の味覚を満喫し、大満足
しました。
もう半月もすれば気候も落ち着いて春本番になると思います。 そうすると竹の子以外にも沢山の美味しいものが出てきますネ。

７月２０日に少し珍しいジェット機を見ました。 私としては初見です。
調べたところ、機種名は ホーカーハンター と言うのだそうです。
ホーカーハンター(Hawker Hunter) は、英航空機メーカー、ホーカー社（垂直離着陸機
ハリアを作った会社）製で５０年以上前に戦闘機としての役目を終え、対地攻撃機型が
1970年まで利用された。軍用機としては引退している、民間機や記念機としては現在も使
用されるそうで、中々の歴史を持った飛行機のようです。
というと、私が見かけたこの機は何処に属して、何をしていたのでしょうか？

少しずつ寒さが緩んできた今日この頃。 このシーズンのやり忘れを今日行いました。 やり忘れていたこと、それは 燻製作り です。 やはり素人の燻製作りは周囲の気温が高くない冬場にやる方がより安全と思い、毎年必ず何回か燻製つくりを行っていました。 ところが今シーズンは パン作りがメイン になって、燻製作りは行っていませんでした。 ワンシーズン全くしないのもなんだか寂しいような気がして、今シーズン最初で最後の燻製を作りました。 作ったものは 定番のベーコン です。 材料は三枚肉ブロック約１．１ｋｇ。 これに塩や黒こしょう、各種ハーブなんぞをすり込み、白ワインを加えて冷蔵庫で２～3日安静に。 塩を洗い流してから脱水シートでくるんで、さらに一日安静。 それを桜のチップを使い、4時間ほど燻します・・・。

今回も空を飛ぶものですが、そうは言っても鳥ではなく飛行機の話題です。 今、住んでいるところの近く（？）にはＡ基地とＹ基地がありますので、そこに離発着する飛行機が家の上を飛んでいくのが沢山見られます。 多いときには一日で10機以上の飛行機を目にします。 勿論、軍関係の飛行機だけではなく、ＪＡＬの旅客機であったり、各種報道ヘリなども見られます。
今回の画像ですが、たまたま軍用機のみになりました。 画像は、たぶん 早期警戒管制機 E-2 だと思います。 機体の上に設置された丸い円盤状のレーダーが目立ちます。 アメリカ軍のプロペラ機であることから Ｅ－２ だと考えました。 自衛隊の機かなとも思っていたのですが、今回、拡大してみてアメリカ軍のものと確認しました。

昨日、6月21日は夏至でした。夏至は昼の時間が最も長く、反対に夜の時間が最も短い日です。通年、6月21日から7月6日の間になります。夏至の反対を冬至といいます。夏至とか冬至とかは、昔から日本に定着している24節季という考え方から決められています。24節季は1年を24分割したもので、それぞれに名前が付けられています。これらは農作業や地域の行事の目安になっていました。自然とともに生活していた日本人の重要な暦の考え方です。他の24節季も順次、紹介します。
