去年のクリスマスはイギリスですごした私たち。
喜んだ義理の母が子供のために作ってくれたのがこのケーキ。
一生懸命子供を喜ばせようとしている気持ちが伝わってきて、
この写真を見ると涙がでそう。
もっとイギリスに行きたいけど、
物価高すぎですよ
もちろん、今、飛行機代もポンドも高いしね。
今年はどんなケーキを焼こうかな？
自由ヶ丘のクオカに行ってこようかな。
なんか見つかるかな？
Christmas cake
What kind of cake shall I make this Christmas?
Last year we were all in England. So my mother in law made this cake for my son. Those little candles are ‘Wombles’. I don’t know anything about Wombles. Only I saw a picture book one time. Maybe they are TV characters. Inside of the cake was heavy chocolate cake. (Whooley!) This cake’s images are so strong ? this year I feel that I should make something fancy. I usually bake a simple chiffon cake. When I bake this, I always feel I want to decorate simply. So they always taste nice but never look exciting. But I know I can’t make anything as good as grandma’s cake. It was full of love to my son.
It looks like we will have a quiet family Christmas this year. I like that.
