ALOHA TABLE(横浜ベイクォーター)

'Mud chocolate cake'

ALOHA TABLE @Yokohama Bay Quarter

Everywhere was crowded today. I suppose lots of people have got their Bonus now. We wanted to buy some Christmas presents, but things were so crowded, we had to find a restaurant to eat lunch first. We rushed to go up to the 4th floor and queued up at the line in front of the restaurant before checking the menu! Luckily they serve their lunch-set even on a Sunday too. We ordered a Coconut Curry set for me, Locomoko set for my son, and the special Hamburg set for my husband. The meals are a bit small we thought, but this set included free drinks, such as Kona coffee, soup, orange juice, wine, tea. I love Kona coffee. So this set gave me a good deal.

When Bay Quarter had just opened late this summer, it was so crowded at first. I went there three times, but I couldn’t go in anywhere! I always had to eat lunch in Lumine or somewhere different. But now some restaurants have started to be quieter. If you don’t choose the special restaurant you can have food.

Bay Quarter always gave me a strange impression. There is not so much stuff you can buy from here. Not so many shops are convenient. But I keep wanting to go back there again and again. Just walk around. I just feel happy there, even if I felt raindrops on my face. (some parts of this building don’t have roofs)

When I saw the menu, I found ‘Mud Chocolate Cake’ in their menu. I was shocked. For 15 years I thought ‘mud’ chocolate cake was ‘mad’ chocolate cake. I still think the word ‘mad’ is more suitable than ‘mud’ for this cake. Mad, maniac, chocolate-holic person made this cake was my image, but not now, not anymore. I felt quite boring about this cake, and I’m not interested in this cake any more. Never mind. Well, I still have a lot of things to study in English then.
