ランドマークにあるポケモンショップがお引っ越し。
(といっても、目の前にだけどね。）
１０月１０日にリニューアルオープン。
それにあわせてピカチュウが飾られている。
８月にイギリスに行った時、向こうの子供たちがみんな
ポケモンを知っているのにびっくり。
放送されているのはどうも古いやつみたいなんだけど。
だからうちの子とは好きなポケモンが全く違うのね。
すごいなぁ。
ポケモンの本が英語で出ているわけだね。
Pokemon is popular in England, too. They know a lot of Pokemons’ names, the same as Japanese children. Even, our nephew has collected Pokemon cards. I was really surprised. I wondered why so many children love Pokemon. Even my son loves them. They treat some Pokemon as their pets or friends or babies. It is very interesting. Well, it is difficult to have their own pets nowadays, and even if children got pets, still they don’t have enough time to spend with their pets, or it is very difficult to have as close a relationship as Pokemon with their pets anyway.
When I see my son, I always feel bad, because he always can’t have satisfaction of his own time. He doesn’t have enough daydreaming time. When I was child, I got a plenty of time till beddybyes, but not for my son. He doesn’t go for any other lessons, only school. But everyday, he has to do the homework, and he has to catch up everyday class. In his school, there are all sorts of children who are studying, that’s why it is hard. But I wish the school use their school time more carefully and usefully. Children spend a half of day for school, I wish they respected children’s own time more. There are a lot of things which only children can enjoy.

英語は学校で習っただけで、全く得意ではないのですが、
ここ数ヶ月ちょうど読書月間に入っているので、
Jacqueline Wilsonの記事を興味深く読ませていただきました。
どれか１冊最初に読むのなら、どれがおすすめでしょうか？
今は「簡単な本をスピードをつけて読む」用にDahlを読みつつ、
それだけでは飽きてしまうので、「先が知りたい気持ちで読み進む」用に
冒険物やファンタジー、Doctor Who本(笑)などを選んでいます。
日本語だけでなく、英文のある日が特に楽しみです。

本、本屋さんで買われますか？彼女の本は４段階ぐらいのレベルにはっきり分かれています。
中身を見ると字の大きさ、イラストのありなしですぐそれがどのレベルなのかわかります。
内容もそのレベルで変わってきます。なので本屋さんで見るとよりわかりやすいかなぁ、と思いました。
個人的には'The Illustrated Mum'が好きです。
このレベルで言うと、上から２番目ぐらいの難しさかな？
ダールの'boy'が大丈夫なら全然問題ないと思います。
彼女の本の問題は内容かな？ダールと比べると、とても女性的な内容なのでダールのようなハラハラ感とは違うような気がします。好き嫌いがわかれるかもしれません。その点でも'The illustrated mum'はおすすめです。
私はまだ読んでいないのですが、彼女は賞を'Double Act'でとっているのでこの本からはじめるのもいいのかなぁ。これだと上から３番目ぐらい。
