日本でいう十五夜、中国では中秋節といってお祝いをするようだ。ただ月を愛でておだんごを食べるだけじゃなく、親戚や友人と集まってその日を祝うという。
日本人の月見団子と違って、中秋節に食べる月餅への中国人のこだわりは強い。
昨年は、それが９月１８日で、ちょうど日曜日だった。夜はチャイニーズレストランでお祝いしながら、月餅を食べ、家に帰るとフラットメイトがバイト先から持って帰ってきた月餅を食べた。食べたことがある人は知っていると思うが、しっかりとした甘さと重さでずっしりとくる月餅。その夜はおなかぱんぱんだった。
その日の昼間、チャイニーズスーパーマーケットへ月餅を買いに行ったら、すごいにぎわいだった。月餅を入れているパッケージも重要らしく、Samは念入りに選ぶ。ようやく買った後で別の店に入ると、また違うデザインのパッケージが。。。そっちの方が良かったらしく、とても悔しそうだった。（実際、そっちの方がいいなあと私も思った。）思わずもう１箱買いそうな勢いだったけど、思いとどまってくれた。
ニュージーランドのそこここにあるチャイニーズマーケットやレストランでは月餅がよく売れていたようだ。
今日、神戸に日帰りで行っていた母が、南京街で月餅を１コ買って来て、父と３人でわけて食べた。このくらいがちょうどいいかな・・・。

The day of a full moon in Japan, Chinese celebrates a moon festival day.I heard they met relative and friends on that day ,not only eating Dango(Japanese cake) while seeing a moon.
And they treat moon-cakes more important than Japanese one.
Last year, it was on 18th of September on Sunday. At that night,I celebrated the day and ate a moon-cake in Chinese restaurant with Sam and then ate another moon-cake when I went back home.My flatmates brought it from restaurant they was working.If you know a moon-cake,you can imagine how I felt full at that night.It is yammy but quite sweet.
Daytime on that day,we went to Chinese Supermarket to get moon-cakes.I saw so many people being there.The package of it was quite important for Sam and he was eager in choosing it.After he bought it ,we found another design of package so that he looked to regret and to buy one more.(But didn't)
It seemed that most of Chinese Market in NZ was sold moon-cakes very much.
My mum went to Kobe for one day trip and bought one moon-cake.We three people shared one.It was enough.^^
