せっかく北アイルランドからお客さんが来ているし、他の国々からもお客さんを呼んでいっきに国際シンポジウムを開催しようということで、米田校長先生が音頭をとって、ISESS(2nd International Symposium on Expertise in Sustainable Society)を開催しました。私もついでに10日間英語づけだったのでそのまま富山に行きまして、30分間講演を行ってきました。太陽光パネル設置の苦労話、風力発電の洋上展開など、ダイナミックな講演が多くて、とても楽しめました。夜の懇親会で最後の挨拶を行って、そのまま長岡に戻りました。さすがに、そろそろまともな生活に戻らなければと思いつつ。
