お暑うございます。
私が住んでいる埼玉中央部あたりは昨日は最高３６° 最低２７°ほど
（札幌の最高気温とこちらの最低気温が一緒です！）
この暑さが９月まで続くと思うと あぁーーーー です.....
しかし気を取り直して 今日の話題
相方のチュウーインガムコレクションはかなりの反響があった事はもうお話しましたが
もう一件 地球の裏側からもありました。
左側にある「最新コメント」欄のチリ在住のRobertoさんからのお便りをきっかけに メールをやり取りしまして
こちらからガムの包装紙や中身入りガムを送って Robertoさんのコレクションに協力したところ
彼から現在チリで売られているチュウーインガムを送っていただきました。
How have you been with this awful heat?
We had the highest temperature over 36 degrees C in the central part of Saitama yesterday.
And the lowest was 27degrees C, which was the same as the highest in Sapporo!
Imagine, this heat may last until September…alas!
Today’s topic, however, can change the mood.
As I already said, there were some responses to our chewing gum collection.
This is another response from other side of the world.
The beginning of the comment from Roberto who lives in Chile, we exchanged e-mail
and sent some gum wrappers for his collection.
And he sent us some Chilean gums in return.
絵はがきと共にチリの子供達が食べているだろうガムが７種類
その中には 日本では珍しいスイカ味らしいガムが入っていました。

かわいらしい色と大きさです。
さっそく食べてみました。
どことなく「瓜系」の味がして 美味しかったですよ。
もちろん他のガムもいただきました。

It somewhat tasted like pepos and was delicious.
これはミント系です。
こちらのグリーンガムと同じ味ですね。
This is mint taste, which is similar to Japanese green gum.
これは齧っていて はっ と想い出しました 風船ガムではないかと....
早速 膨らませてみました。
I hit on” Is it bubble gum?” That’s it.
I tried blowing up for the first time in several decades.
何十年振りかの風船ガムです。
チリの子供達がガムを齧りながら遊んでいる様子が
ふっと浮かんでくるような気がしました。
素敵な体験でした。

ちなみに タイトルの「智利」はチリの漢字表記です。
またガムは「我夢」と書くそうです。
（ただの当て字のような気もしますが
初めて食べた子供にとっては夢の味のように感じたのかもしれません）
