うちの中にあるプルメリアはもう春だと言っているのに。
うん、まあ、でも、外にいるプルメリアはまだ冬だと言っている・・・か。

お外のはまだ棒です。えっと、本当に棒。
植木鉢に棒をさしたような感じ・・・
あんまりにも大きな棒になってしまったのでおうちの中にはいれられず、
今回で２回目の冬をおそとでむかえたのです。
ああ、いつになったら咲いてくれるのかしら。
いいにおいの花なのに。
I like Pua Melia flowers very, very much. That smell reminds me of sweet holidays in Hawai’i. My boy always had a hand-full of Pua Melia flowers for me in his little paws after he played in the swimming pool. For me, this flower is very special. His little pink hands and that sweet smell always come up in my mind together. I wish I could keep this memory clearly forever. When I go to Hawai’i, I always buy the sticks of Pua Melia. When I come back to Japan, I plant those sticks into the soil. The oldest one is quite big now. In Winter, all the leaves fall off, so they go back to being longer sticks again. Because our place doesn’t have enough sunshine, I’ve never seen them blooming. I’ve heard several times that somebody else’s Pua Melia finally bloomed; they waited for 5 years or 7 years. Oh, I wish I could smell my Pua Melia somedays. If you visit Hawai’i, please take one flower on your hand and sniff it. That time you can understand what I mean. You need that Hawaiian air with the flower to sniff the real smell.
