Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

On 15/12/2017； Patient underwent craniectomy with bone fragments gently removed, dura sutured to the bone edges around the window. flap using the pereost and temporal muscle was placed at the base of skull defect, drain placed epidurally. Patient also underwent bullet removal with left maxillary sinus repair. Wound closed by layers, patient intubated and transferred to ICU.

パレスチナ人の目標・理想の為の活動家（Activist for the Palestinian cause）、父親のバッセム・タミミ氏も、自身の妹といとこと共にイスラエル刑務所に勾留された事が有り、且つその時に拷問と過酷な尋問を受けられた経験をお持ちである。1993年の逮捕時には、バッセム氏は尋問中に暴力を振るわれた後8日間意識を失い、硬膜下血腫の除去のために手術を必要とされた。2011年の逮捕前までに、バッセム氏は、イスラエル当局によって11回逮捕された。
その2011年の逮捕時、自身の母親が脳卒中の為に、保釈金12,000シェケル（US $ 3,193）を払って2週間、一時的に釈放された。そして同年、石投げを煽動した事と違法な抗議の罪で、有罪判決を受けられた。更に同じ年でその後、イスラエル製品ボイコット運動の抗議デモ中に逮捕され、息子（当時16、アヘドさんの兄）も毎週行われているデモによって逮捕された（2週間後に裁判官によって却下）。バッセム氏は、翌年、解放された。
バッセム氏は2013年に、アムネスティ・インターナショナルから、「良心の囚人」と彼を称された（In 2013 Amnesty International designated him a “prisoner of conscience”）。草の根活動家（Grassroots activism）であり、EU（ヨーロッパ連合）は彼を「人権擁護者」として説明している（European Union describing him as a “human rights defender”）。そしてバッセム氏の家は、イスラエルの民政によって解体（撤去、破壊）に指定されている。
タミミ・ファミリーである、バッセム氏の兄弟姉妹といとこが、今までに、オスロ合意の有った1993年、2011年、2012年、2018年と、今までに4人がイスラエル占領軍によって殺された。また、イスラエル独立宣言前のイギリスの統治時代にも、家族が投獄された。
タミミ・ファミリーが代々住まわれるナビ・サレハ（Nabi Saleh）村は、イスラエル占領軍とパレスチナ人の衝突が頻繁に起こるホットスポットの1つという。ユダヤ人の不法入植地の近くで、イスラエルのパレスチナに対する前哨地近くともなっている訳であり、違法植民地の急激な拡大とユダヤ人入植者の増加に伴い、イスラエル占領軍の植民地近くへの配属もそれに比例して増加しており、近くに住むパレスチナ人たちにはその分リスクが高まって来た。そして日々、パレスチナ人達は自由を感じる事が無く、何かと嫌がらせを受けたり、難癖を付けられ、言いがかりを付けられて、入植者や占領軍から不合理な目に遭わされている。
ナビ・サレハ村の近くには、村の住民、Bashir Tamimiが個人所有するEin al-Qaws Spring（ "The Bow Spring"）という自然の泉が存在するが、2009年に、近くの不法な入植地、ハラミッシュ（Halamish）に居住するユダヤ人入植者たちは、その泉とその周辺を支配し、そのパレスチナ人の土地へのアクセスを妨害して来た。それ故、ナビ・サレハ村と近くのデイラ・ニダム村（Deir Nidham）の人々は、その泉とイスラエルの占領について、定期的に金曜日に抗議して来た。
