音楽を再生する場合、
畳やベッドやソファー等の吸音性の家具がたくさんある部屋と
フローリングで家具のないがらんとした部屋では
後者の方が音の響きが豊かで
気持ちよく音楽を聴くことができます。
私は以前、無響室に入ったことがありますが
まったく不自然で、音楽を楽しむことはできませんでした。
音楽の再生には『ある程度の』反響は不可欠であり
現在発売されているCDも
ディレーやリバーブといった反響に関する効果が『多少は』使用されています。
吸音性の家具がたくさんある部屋や
ヘッドホンでの再生では
元来録音されている反響だけでは足りず
アンサンブルステレオではエコーを付加していたということでしょう。
当時はスプリングを使用していましたが
現在では別の方法が用いられます。
