The European countries Ireland, Norway, and Spain have announced they will recognise an independent Palestinian state - which will enter into force by the 28th of May. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said his country had an obligation to act. Sanchez accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of putting the two-state solution in danger, with his policy of pain and destruction in Gaza.
