『ミサイル用真空管？？？レイセオン5755 vol.6』の続きです。
5755のバッファアンプにAllen-Bradley社のボリュームをつけて
簡易プリアンプとし、試聴しました。
当社では標準品としてatt30パッシブアッテネーターを使用しています。
こちらは一般のボリュームに比べてシャープでハイスピードです。
これに対して、Allen-Bradley社のボリュームですが、
意外に『美しい音』です。
かつてのAllen-Bradleyはもっと中域が張った元気の良い音という印象でしたが
現代のものは余韻をとてもきれいに再生します。
ひとつひとつの音の分離が良く、音場が豊かです。
att30とは異なる方向ですが、
これはこれで、捨てがたい音です。

It is a continuation of "Vacuum tube Raytheon 5755 for missiles??? vol.6"
The volume of Allen-Bradley was attached to the buffer amplifier of 5755
to make a simple preamplifier, and it tried listening.
We are using att30 passive attenuator as standard goods.
This is sharp in comparison with ordinary volume.
And it is high speed.
On the other hand, the volume of Allen-Bradley is
"a beautiful sound" unexpectedly.
Once Allen-Bradley gave the impression of
a fine good sound which the inside region stretched more.
A present-day thing reproduces a hole tone very finely.
Separation of the sound of each is good and a sound stage is rich.
It differs from att30.
However, it is a good sound.
