きのう出てきたCat Powerちゃんは、ジョージアのアトランタ生まれらしい。アメリカ南部こちらはテキサス、４０年前Janis Joplinというシンガーがいた。これからというときに２７歳の若さであっけなく世を去った。レコーディング中だった「Pearl」は遺作となってしまった。

あのころ１９６９から７０年、ボクの身の周りでも海や感電、飛び降り．．．身近な人が突然亡くなった。メットにゲバ棒、立て看と騒然としたなか新宿西口にはフォークソングがあふれ．．．２０歳前、それには無縁のところにいたボクでも毎日がぎっしりつまっていて．．．されど、我らが日々か．．．てっちゃんやカメ、アンコーさんたちの深夜放送のラジオで聴いていた．．．

バックのギターのイントロがすばらしいガーシュウィン「Summertime」もいいのだが、窓の外は雪が舞っている。同郷のお友達だったKris Kristoffersonの作った Me and Bobby McGee がすこし明るい感じでいいかなあ。かれは俳優稼業もやって今や７２歳のおじいちゃんか。４０年経ってはじめてみる映像ばかり、 YouTube、そして、フレッツ光、すばらしい。
