At that time
弥勒菩薩（未来に仏となる菩薩）
Maitreya Bodhisattva
このように思った
Thought in this way
今この時、世尊
At this moment, the World-Honored One
神秘的な変化した姿を現した
Manifested a divine transformation
どのような因縁によるのか
For what causes and conditions
そしてこの瑞相がある
And this auspicious sign appears
今、仏である世尊
Now, the Buddha, the World-Honored One
三昧（深い瞑想の境地）に入る
Entered samadhi
これは思いはかることができない
This is inconceivable
めったにない事柄が現れた
A rare event manifests
誰に質問すべきか
To whom should this be asked
誰が答えられる者であるのか
Who can answer this
またこの思いを起こす
Again, to have this thought
これには文殊菩薩という法王の子である
This is Manjushri, the child of the Dharma King
すでに多くの仏に親しく仕えた
Already closely served many Buddhas
過去の無数の仏たち
Countless Buddhas of the past
必ずこれを見るべき
Must see this
希有な（珍しい）現象
Rare phenomenon
私は今から尋ねよう
I will now ask
