横浜のタワーレコードで新しいCＤを購入。
元町のタワーレコードがなくなっちゃったから、
てっきり全国のタワーレコードが閉店なのかと思っちゃった。
横浜はまだあるのね。
これはフラ雑誌フラレアの企画のCD。
はじめて買ったハワイアンのCDはフラレアシリーズだったの。
どれもとてもよくできているコンビネーションアルバム。
新しいものからトラディッショナルなものまで本当にうまく選曲されてる。
ただ、フラを踊るための選曲だから、ジャワイアンみたいなのははいってないのよ。
この中から好きなアーティストのアルバムをよく買ったなあ。
New CD: I bought at Tower Records in Yokohama. I thought all Tower Records were closed up. But it looks like not all of them. This is a combination album of Hawai’ian music. Hulale’a is the one of the magazines of hula, Hawai’ian dancing. They always made a good selection of combination albums. My first Hawai’ian CD was one of theirs, and I still like it. If I wanted to buy this kind of CD in Hawai’i. it would be a bit difficult to find like this kind of selection. The popular songs are usually more Reggae kinds of songs or more English language songs. Hulale’a coveres traditional songs to contemporary songs, and Hawai’ian language songs.
