ハワイアン以外のＣＤを買うのは久しぶり。
２曲目の’Everybody wants to rule the world'が聞きたくて買ってみました。
オリジナルはティアーズフォーフィアーズ。
これも好きだったけどね。
最近はちょっとハワイアンから離れてみたくって、
iTunesとかで何かないか探してる。
このPatti SmithのＣＤについてるライナーノーツに
彼女の書いた曲の説明がちょこっと書いてあるんだけど。
それがとても好きだった。
シンプルな英語なんだけど、私の好きなスタイルなんだなぁ。
昔彼女の書いた詩集だったかなんだかずっと探していた。
ウイリアムサローヤンの原書と彼女の本。
イギリスでもハワイでも、オーストラリアでも。
紀伊国屋でも、青山ブックセンターでも、リブロでも。
ずっとずっと探していたんだけど。
あんまり見つからなくてずっと忘れてた。
Patti Smith is not a young lady anymore. But she is still Patti Smith. A couple of years ago, I heard she lost her husband. After I heard that I felt like I shouldn’t listen to her music. How many years after that? Yesterday I bought her CD. I was little bit scared who is inside this CD. I was worried to face her music. But, still Patti Smith is Patti Smith, she is still the queen of Rock, she is still beautiful, she is still thoughtful. My feeling was full up because her CD showed our history of time. And she is telling me I did live my life well.
Inside of her CD, she wrote some notes of all the songs. Her writing woke me up. I like her writing. I don’t know if you can understand what I meant. Her writing can touch the special part of my brain. I want to draw with that part of brain. I couldn’t feel that feeling long time after I had a baby. Today, it is the first time, I thought getting old isn’t so bad a thing.
