1.5mと3mを比較しました。

正直なところ、あまり変わりません。

あえて言えば、1.5mの高域がほんの少しきついのでしょうか。

そこで、長さによるロスと音質をテストする別の方法を考えました。

『スピーカーケーブルは短いと音が良いのですか?1』で計算したように

2スケアのスピーカケーブル1mで、抵抗値は0.01オームほどですので

4オームの抵抗を直列に接続してみました。

こうすることで計算上は200mのスピーカーケーブルを使用したことになります。

音は、、、とても意外な結果がでました。

前回の実験で、2スケアのケーブルに良い結果がでました。

今度は長さによって音質は変わるのか？という疑問です。

当然長くなればロスが増えます。

しかし2スケアのケーブルの抵抗値は１ｍで０．０１オーム程度。

２ｍのケーブルを使用すると往復４ｍなので

抵抗値は０．０４オーム程になります。

スピーカーのインピーダンスを４オームとすると

スピーカーに供給される１％がロスになる計算です。

この程度の差を感じ取ることができるのでしょうか？

結果ですが、

私としては2スケアが良かったと思います。

まず低域ですが、

太いほど量感が増しますが、

その低域はヌケが悪く、質が良い低域とは言えません。

しかし、0.75スケアでは低域がちょっと足りないなという感じです。

反面高域はあまり変化がなく、

バイワイヤー接続の高域に使用するのであれば0.75スケアでも問題なさそうです。

音場もわずかの差がでました。

こちらは太いほうが奥行きがあるようです。

しかしこの差は極わずかです。

今回の実験の結果、2スケアはバランスがとれていて最も良いと感じました。

そこにつながるケーブルが気になるところです。

ケーブルには色々な「常識」があります。

「常識」では太い方が音が良いそうです。

ホントウなのでしょうか？

確かに太い方が伝送ロスは少なく、

アンプからの音楽信号を

そのまま伝えることができるような気がします。

そこで実際に聴いてみました。

ピンケーブルなどに使われる0.75スケア、

スピーカーケーブルに一般的な2スケア、

太すぎる14スケアを比較しました。

いずれも通常の銅線で

構造もより線という一般的なものです。

長さは1.5m。

スピーカーは16cmの2way。

アンプはムジカのint60です。
