Eight hundred disciples
その中に一人がいる
Among them, there is one
名号を求名という
Named Kyūmyō (Seeker of Fame)
利益に執着する
Attached to material gain
多くの経典を読むにもかかわらず
Although reciting many sutras
しかしながら理解が浅い
Yet lacking deep understanding
多くの物事を忘れたり失う
Forgetting or losing many things
そのため名を求名と呼ぶ
Thus, named Kyūmyō (Seeker of Fame)
この人もまた～によって
This person also through
多くの善根を植える
Planting many virtuous roots
因縁のため
Because of causes and conditions
無量の仏に出会う
Encountered countless Buddhas
敬意を持って供養する
Respectfully making offerings
