弥勒よ、知るべきである
Maitreya, you should know
その時の妙光菩薩
At that time, Bodhisattva Myōkō
どうして別の人であろうか
How could it be another person?
私の身がそれである
My body is that
求名という名の菩薩
Bodhisattva Kyūmyō
あなたの身がそれである
Your body is that
今、この吉兆を見る
Now, I see this auspicious sign
元のものと違わない
No different from the original
そのため推し量る
Therefore, I contemplate
今日の如来は
Today, the Tathagata
まさに、大乗の経典を説くであろう
Should preach the Mahayana sutra
名前は、妙法蓮華
Named the Lotus Sutra of Wondrous Dharma
菩薩に説く教え
Teaching the Dharma to Bodhisattvas
仏が守り念じている
Protected and remembered by the Buddha
その時、文殊師利菩薩が
At that time, Manjushri
大衆の中で
In the midst of the assembly
この意味を繰り返し述べたい
Wishing to reiterate this meaning
そして偈を説いて言った
And spoke in verse
