記を授け終えた仏、
The Buddha, finished bestowing the prophecy
真夜中にすぐに
Immediately in the middle of the night
無余涅槃に入る
Enter complete Nirvana
仏が滅度した後に
After the Buddha’s Nirvana
妙光という名の菩薩
Bodhisattva Myōkō
妙法蓮華経を保持する
Upholding the Lotus Sutra
八十小劫を満たす
Fulfilling eighty small kalpas
人々のために説法する
Preaching for the people
日月燈明仏の八人の子供
The eight sons of Buddha Nichigatsu Tōmyō
皆が妙光を師と仰ぐ
All regarded Myōkō as their teacher
妙光が教え導く
Myōkō guided and taught
それを堅固にする
Made it firm and stable
阿耨多羅三藐三菩提（完全な悟り）
Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi (Supreme Enlightenment)
これら諸々の王子たち
These princes
無量の仏を供養し終えた
Having offered respect to countless Buddhas
みんな仏の悟りの道を成就した
All attained the Buddha path
その最後に仏になる者
The last one to become a Buddha
名前を燃燈という
Named Nentō (Burning Lamp)
