いただいた年賀状Various New Year’s cards

毎年１７０通ほどの年賀状をいただくのですが
最近はやはりパソコンで作ったものが多いようです。

パソコン制作の場合はどの葉書も非常に仕上がりが
綺麗なので　逆に皆同じ様に見えてしまうのが残念です。

パソコンソフトのひな型やサンプルを使わずに
独自の創作やユニークなアイデアで仕上げたものが
やはり強く印象に残りました。

その中からごく一部をご紹介します。
I receive about 170 New Year’s cards every year.
Many people make them utilizing computers these days.
The finish is beautiful, however, they sometimes look in the same way.
But there are some impressive cards in them, which are made by the creators’ own ideas without software templates.
Let me introduce two of them.


どちらもデザイン・グラフィック系の専門の方です。
パソコンを使ってプリントアウトしていますが
さすがにクオリティーの高さを感じます。
Both are works by specialists related to graphics or designs.
Printed through PCs, each shows its excellent quality.

次のは小学校４年生のゴム版です。
The next work is a rubber plate Hanga by a girl in the 4th grade.


楽しそうに作っている感じが　いいですね。
微笑ましくて　見ている方も元気が出てくるようです。
Her pleasant feeling cheers us up.

次は版画のプロの方の葉書です。
The followings are cards by pros.


木版画　官製はがきに直に刷ってあります。
鋭い刀の使い方はもちろん　力強い絵はすごいです。
Wood Block The sharp knife-technique and powerful images are impressive

どちらも銅版画　版画専用の紙に刷ってあります。
左はメゾチィント　右は１版多色刷りの銅版
Copper Print(Intaglio)
left; Mezzotint
right; one-plate polychromatic printing

年賀状はともすると　めんどくさいものの
代表のように言われがちですが
年に一回の「創作を楽しむチャンス」でもありますので
私としては多いに勧めたいところです。

Making New Year’s cards is kind of tiresome.
But it is once in a year opportunity, I encourage all of you to enjoy creation.
