「山道を行く」は、ご存知の通りあの有名なグローフェの組曲「グランド・キャニオン」に収められている１曲。自然への畏敬や感動を表すようなその曲調は、とても親しみやすい形で心の内に響いてきます。今回の山旅にロバの姿はありませんが、ゆっくりと流れる雲や静かにゆれる花々の、その雄大にして穏やかな景色の中を歩いていると、この曲がふとイメージされる思いがしました。解説書にあったグローフェの言葉がとても印象的でした。「作曲というのは、自然が私に語りかけてくるものを形にすることで、私が自然に語るものを形にすることではない。」
As you know, "On the Trail" is one of the music in "Grand Canyon" by Grofe that is famous for. We can feel in this melody like showing his awe or his deep impression to nature, and they atract me. This time, we were not with a donkey, but when we walked on mountain, I could see clouds that floating across the sky, many beautiful flowers, and a magnificent view, so they brought this music in my mind. I respect Grofe's views to nature.
そこは雲の上の花園でした。
It was a flower garden above the clouds there.
