4才のRyuyaは、まだ１人で立って歩くことができない。
同じ年の子供たちがよちよち歩きを始め、母親が忙しくその後を追いかける頃になっても、まだ立ち上がらなかった彼を両親は医者に連れて行った。
いろんな検査をしたけれど原因はわからなかった。
障害があるのかな？
でも、Ryuyaのママはちっとも落胆なんかしていない。
体重はどんどん増える彼を、抱っこして、おんぶして、ベビーカーに乗せて、どこへでも出て行った。
なんで、うちの子が、、、？って、泣いたかな。
でも、悲しい顔なんて彼女は見せない。
『RyuyaはRyuyaのペースで成長してるんだよ』って。
ー 寝返りうったよ、おすわりできたよ、つかまり立ちできたよ ー
2年遅れの報告をいつも嬉しく聞いている。
子供のありのままを受け入れる彼女の、母としての優しさと大きさに、学ぶことがたくさんある。
Ryuya、いいママを選んだね。
もうすぐひとりで歩くかな？
楽しみに待っている。
Ryuya is 4 years old.
He still can't walk alone.
His parents took him to doctors when other kids his age started to walk and their mothers chased them around.
He showed no sign of walking.
He underwent many examinations, but they couldn't find a cause.
Any disorder?
But his mom has never been dejected.
She took him everywhere, holding him, carrying on her back or in a stroller.
Though Ryuya's still not able to walk, he is growing and getting heavier.
Did she cry?
....‘Why？ My son?’
She is always bright.
‘Ryuya is growing in his own good time.’
ー He just rolled over. He can sit by himself now. He can stand when he holds something. ー
I'm always happy to hear belated reports about him.
Ryuya's mother takes him as he is.
Seeing her tenderness and generosity toward her kids may teach you something.
